TCOTC is a nonprofit organization committed to strengthening the relationship between you and your dog. We provide quality training in Minneapolis and the Twin Cities in basic obedience, agility, flyball, tracking and therapy dog work, using principles of positive reinforcement and operant conditioning. Positive reinforcement training uses praise and/or treats to reward your dog for doing something you want him/her to do. Because the reward makes your dog more likely to repeat the behavior, positive reinforcement is one of your most powerful tools for shaping or changing behavior. Additionally, this method can strengthen the bond between you and your dog.

Our Obedience B&T Program consist of 2 week basic, 3 week intermedie, 4 week advanced, and a 6 week Master Program. We have service dog programs with certified papers. When it comes to training, we believe that establishing communication for both the dog and owner is the key to success. We’ve developed a learning method based initially on positive reinforcement (food, toys and praise). At the appropriate stage of training, we use negative reinforcers to teach the dog consequences of unwanted behavior. In the end, it’s about creating a mutual understanding between dog and owner that will last a lifetime.
