FirstBarkMeritDog is fantastic! When we brought our rescue home, he was house trained and that's about it. He didn't understand basic commands and was afraid of people and other dogs. We went with individual training and our dog is a completely different pup now! He understands several commands, loves playing with other dogs, and is so much more open to people. Thank you, Merit!

As a kid, I came to Merit's classes with my mom for our family dogs. When my husband and I got a puppy of our own, we knew exactly who to go to. So many people have commented on how well-behaved our pup is, I've started carrying around referral cards when I'm out and about with her. Merit's an excellent coach. She's encouraging, patient, and effectively adapts her advice to each dog/owner pair. She enables you to connect with your dog on a whole new level.
Merit is great at training dogs! She helped our rescue Pitt so much! She really understands a dog's behavior and how to correct it.
Merit Day, owner/trainer, is excellent! She is an expert , has a complete knowledge of dog training and is a caring and compassionate professional! She is just as helpful with the owners and their understanding of the dogs as she is with the pups! We learned right along with our puppy and had a wonderful experience.
