What training methods do you use?
I use LIMA style dog training, also known as Least Intrusive, Minimally Aversive, it’s a training approach that focuses on using the least amount of force, punishment, or coercion necessary to teach a dog a desired behavior. It is based on the principles of positive reinforcement and operant conditioning.

We adopted Cassie from the Humane Society at 3-months old and she was a very nervous, insecure dog. She was afraid of the leash, wouldn’t go outside, was terrified of noise and any vehicle. I was ready to give up. It seemed impossible especially living in downtown Fort Lauderdale. I contacted Niketa and she came the next day. She took the time to explain puppy development and the necessity to work through her fears. Niketa explains why we are doing a training exercise, demonstrates it and then has you perform the exercise. Needless to say, Cassie is a confident and well trained puppy now! She knows all her basic commands and we have graduated to controlled environments off-lease training. She has surpassed all expectations and it is a joy to have a confident and well-trained puppy. I highly recommend Niketa for your dog training needs!

When I had my first consult with Niketa, I told her that Mandy was my first boxer puppy and that I needed help with typical puppy behavior as well as to teach commands for her safety that would last a lifetime. Niketa understands the challenges of the boxer breed and we went right to work. From the get-go, training progressed extremely well. She was there for me at all hours providing me with quick answers to my questions.
I trust Niketa's direction and training technique because I see results. She also praises the boxer dad as well!

I found K954 Dog Training through the AKC website while searching for someone experienced in preparing dogs for their CGC certification. From the very first session, it was clear that Niketa had a deep understanding of canine behavior, positive reinforcement techniques, and the specific CGC requirements.
Niketa was patient, professional, and incredibly knowledgeable. She tailored the training to meet the individual needs of my dogs, ensuring they were not only prepared to pass the test but also well-mannered and confident in everyday situations. The progress we made over just a few weeks was amazing.
