Good Dog KC has been an incredible resource for both my dog Luna and me. When I first sought their help, Luna was unmanageable and terrified of everything, leading to numerous accidents around the house and her inability to come back when called. The situation became challenging as she would often run away outside, drag me during walks, and even rummage through the trash. Over a transformative three-week program, the team at Good Dog KC worked wonders with Luna. They not only took the time to train her but also equipped me with essential commands to communicate effectively. As a result, our relationship has significantly improved, and Luna has stopped her disruptive behaviors. After moving to a new home, we faced some regression, but Good Dog KC came back to re-correct Luna's behavior, helping us establish new boundaries within our home. Andrew and Jaharia had their work cut out for them with my dog! My dog is extremely aggressive and reactive towards strangers and any other animals. Andrew and Jaharia assisted in skill building and socialization and created a plan to familiarize and desensitize him to strangers. My dog is now much more manageable when it comes to his fearful reactions and his reactions in general to family and friends visiting our residence. We chose Good Dogz KC for our 2 year old pup this past summer after noticing lots of anxiety and reactivity toward new people. After 3 weeks of boarding and multiple at home sessions, my husband and I felt so much more confident dealing with our dogs emotions and actions. Not only did Cooper learn healthy ways to cope, we learned how to help him make those choices too. They were always easy to talk to and quick to respond when we had questions or concerns. I know even now, months later, I could reach out at any point and ask for advice. I also loved that our dog got to be a part of their family for those 3 weeks. He lived in their home and interacted with kiddos and friends instead of a typical boarding house with limited “real world experiences.” I felt at ease knowing he was getting all the love and care we would give him if he were with us. We have loved working with Good Dogz KC for our border collie Aries! She has graduated from other trainer’s obedience classes but we were still struggling with some behavioral issues due to her, lack of confidence, fear and anxiety. Jahaira and Andrew were able to identify what was going on and not only address it but talk us through it as well. Even some small tweaks had us seeing huge improvement immediately. They helped us communicate better to Aries and understand better what she needed to feel relaxed. They came to our home which was also such a huge help because the tools and habits they taught us were easier to apply directly to our issues and are more sustainable in our every day life. If we ever had a question or weren’t sure we could text them for guidance too. It’s been a really good experience!
