Good Dogz KC

Andrew & Jahaira are amazing! After just our first session our dogs were already following the recalls we worked on. We have two dogs who would get overexcited when visitors would come over, making difficult to have company. Andrew & Jahaira have helped train not only our puppies but also my partner and I on how to redirect their excitement. They have a great understanding of what dogs emotions are during all situations and how to best handle them. We will be continuing to partner with them to help us with our dogs.

I can’t say enough great things about Good Dogz KC! Our Dalmatian had a special trainer as a puppy and had done several group training classes. We thought we had done all the proper socializing and taught all the commands, but he was still so nervous around people and was still a handful with all that Dal energy and stubbornness. In his 4-week board and train, Andrew and Jahaira were able to take his initial training to a new level and, on top of that, cater his training to instill in him the confidence and experiences needed to soothe his nerves! He is much calmer at home, and we have better tools to help him get rid of some of his energy. Plus, he now walks into places with his tail wagging and happy to see people. The best part though was knowing that he was in a home environment, not a facility, and with people who truly cared for him. They saw the same sweet, goofy boy we do and never broke that part of him. He’s still the same dog, just a better, happier version! And they were patient with my never-ending questions too! Lol. If you’re on the fence, go for it! It was an amazing experience.

We had used other trainers in the past and never quite found the right skills, attitude and patience required to get our dog's behavior where we felt it could be. Then we found Good Dogz KC and everything changed. After our board and train sessions, our dog Archie became attentive, behaved and much more calm at home. We discovered Good Dogs KC last spring when we had to travel. Our dogs are like family. Our choices were to take Ida (the dog) with us, or find a place to board her. I hated the idea of checking her into a boarding facility where she would sit in a cage all day. When we learned about Andrew and Johaira, the idea of leaving her became easy. She would live with Andrew and family for the two weeks. She became family with them and came home two weeks later - happy and having learned some things. Since then, they have continued training both the dog and us (I;m harder to train than Ida). We love the fact that she stayed with kids and family, and that it was more of a vacation for her than an ordeal. If you are seeking a family environment for your dog to learn in (and stay with when you are gone), these are the right people. Thank you so much.
