FirstBarkI have had dogs my entire life, and never thought about going to dog training. When we got our Rottie, I thought it would be a good idea to get him trained right away. Front Range K9 Academy was amazing, not only did they teach us how to train him, they also set us up for success in working the dog moving forward. We cant wait until we get back there for the next segment of training.

How much work do I have to do?
That depends on you and your dog. However, most owners find that if they work with their dog for at least 20 minutes, 2 times a day, they will see remarkable results.

What training methods & equipment do you use?
We use a 'motivational' dog training approach. This method uses a combination of Traditional training and Positive Reinforcement training - tailoring programs to fit each individual dogs' temperament and needs. We use a variety of training equipment - depending on what will work best for each dog and owner team. Motivational Trainers reward through praise, treats, toys - whatever works for the owner and dog. They also give leash guidance to the dog and owner to stop or control problem behaviors that are destructive, annoying, or dangerous.

How often do we come to training classes?
Weekly or every-other-week training sessions generally work best, but we know sometimes life gets hectic. So, we try to be as flexible as possible with meeting your scheduling needs.

How much does dog training cost?
While it's impossible to estimate cost until we meet your dog, we have programs from around $900 to $1800 - completely depending on what we're working on with your dog. Our goal is to find the service that works for you and your individual needs. We also offer financing through PayPal Credit. Ask yourself this: How much does a waste of time & money cost? Amateur dog trainers usually charge around $400 to $600 per 6 week course. They do NOT offer specialized behavior modification methods. Imagine paying good money and then your dog is more aggressive, destructive, obnoxious, and disobedient than before. Over 50% of the dogs we see each year have already been to large group training classes with an amateur dog trainer. Another 30% of the dogs we see each year have been to other private trainers or board and train programs, and in some cases have spent thousands of dollars on methods that just don't work. Training without a good foundation doesn't give reliable, predictable results.

We were so impressed with both trainers who helped us with our puppy. Morgan and Jordan were both extremely knowledgeable and caring towards our dog. They were both very responsive to our in-person and emailed questions. We felt like we had partners through the process of raising our puppy into a very good girl.

We just finished up Level 1 with our pup and he loved it! They know dogs and dog behaviors. They work with you to make sure you and your pup are set up for success! It's fun, challenging, and keeps our pup busy. Training with Jen and her team at Front Range K9 will be something we continue to do with our pup throughout his life!

Meg at Front Range K9 Academy has been an absolute godsend to our family and 2 year old puppy! Since we started coming over a year ago, she has very dramatically and quickly improved my energetic goldendoodle's bad behaviors as well as taught him the not-so-easy skills and abilities to achieve the AKC Canine Good Citizen Award Certification! We're now working on his AKC Novice Tricks Certification which thanks to her excellent techniques has also helped us fix other random habits he's picked up from doggie daycare. Moreover, what I think has also been truly remarkable and stellar about Meg is her non-judgemental, deeply compassionate understanding, and next-level patience with our family's crazy unpredictable schedule! Anyone else would have wrote us off but she kept believing in us and never gave up which is a gift I simply cannot put into words. They have excellent hours of operations and very affordable prices too. They also use reliable and newer trusted training techniques, definitely, highly recommend!
