Front Range K9 Academy

My partner and I got an ADORABLE puppy, Bowie, back in March of 2021. As first time dog owners, we were quickly overwhelmed with how to handle some of Bowie’s reactivity and wanted guidance on training obedience. We had our initial consultation with Jordan Dye who laid out their core obedience training program. We liked how it was a structured program and each week we would learn new skills to practice with a final exam/test at the end to move on to more advanced classes. We have now progressed from core obedience up to their advanced obedience class that we passed last night! Jordan is a phenomenal teacher and mentor who always greeted us with a smile, positive attitude, and constructive feedback on our handling. She helped us successfully quell Bowie’s reactivity and shape him into a good good good BOY! We are looking forward to continuing our doggy education with Front Range K9 with their elite obedience and KC Canine Good Citizen (CGC) Training & Testing. We will use Front Range K9 for any future dogs (my partner keeps trying to convince me to get a second haha) we get. I think Front Range K9 blends together correction and reward based dog training perfectly and it fit our and our dog’s needs. I highly recommend Front Range K9 to any dog owner. UPDATE 4/29/2024: I wish I could change this review to 6 out of 5 stars! My wife and I worked with Front Range again for our second puppy (our adorable little Hero, a great Pyrenees mix). We worked with Jordan (again) and she was, as always, a-mazing. Every dog is different and little Hero required softer handling than our first dog Bowie did. Jordan walked us through how to train Hero with detailed instructions and advice. I cannot recommend Front Range and Jordan enough. When my wife inevitably convinces me to get yet another dog/puppy we will be back :)

I highly recommend the Front Range K9 Academy! We brought our two new rescues, malamutes Sadie and Bodie, to Jordan and she changed our world. Upon adoption, neither dog had leash training and Sadie was dog reactive. I was not confident walking her solo, much less both dogs at once. Bodie followed Sadie's lead, has separation anxiety, and needed to find his confidence and independence. There were a lot of tears and stress during our first month post adoption. Then we found Front Range K9 Academy. We participated in a combination of solo, duo, and group classes that gave me the skills, knowledge, and confidence to help our new family members settle in. I can now confidently walk both dogs (separate and together) and know how to work through reactivity issues when they present (reactivity and training is journey). The amount of progress we made with Jordan over six months is remarkable. She truly has a gift with dogs and owners. I look forward to continuing training and creating memorable experiences with the pups for years to come.
