FirstBarkI have a 7 month bernedoodle. He is a little fearful of dogs and they helped and are still helping with that. We did a few private training then group training lessons. I highly recommend!

How much work do I have to do?
That depends on you and your dog. However, most owners find that if they work with their dog for at least 20 minutes, 2 times a day, they will see remarkable results.

What training methods & equipment do you use?
We use a 'motivational' dog training approach. This method uses a combination of Traditional training and Positive Reinforcement training - tailoring programs to fit each individual dogs' temperament and needs. We use a variety of training equipment - depending on what will work best for each dog and owner team. Motivational Trainers reward through praise, treats, toys - whatever works for the owner and dog. They also give leash guidance to the dog and owner to stop or control problem behaviors that are destructive, annoying, or dangerous.

How often do we come to training classes?
Weekly or every-other-week training sessions generally work best, but we know sometimes life gets hectic. So, we try to be as flexible as possible with meeting your scheduling needs.

How much does dog training cost?
While it's impossible to estimate cost until we meet your dog, we have programs from around $900 to $1800 - completely depending on what we're working on with your dog. Our goal is to find the service that works for you and your individual needs. We also offer financing through PayPal Credit. Ask yourself this: How much does a waste of time & money cost? Amateur dog trainers usually charge around $400 to $600 per 6 week course. They do NOT offer specialized behavior modification methods. Imagine paying good money and then your dog is more aggressive, destructive, obnoxious, and disobedient than before. Over 50% of the dogs we see each year have already been to large group training classes with an amateur dog trainer. Another 30% of the dogs we see each year have been to other private trainers or board and train programs, and in some cases have spent thousands of dollars on methods that just don't work. Training without a good foundation doesn't give reliable, predictable results.

Front Range K9 was a game changer for our four year old Boxer mix with big feelings :) He is a boundary pusher, pulled on the leash and had become reactive to other dogs while on leash. The mix of classroom and homework was good and we were able to establish a great foundation for him. Ultimately, we ended up deciding to take things a step further after the very last class and try a prong collar because he was still struggling with staying attentive to us in challenging situations. I was hesitant at first but Front Range K9 showed us the proper use and educated us on it and that was the ultimate tool that had the biggest impact on top of the foundational training. I appreciate that they are open to various tools and combinations to find the best result for each dog. Walks are no longer stressful and in fact, enjoyable!
Meg was amazing and easy to work with. So incredibly knowledgeable with training for dogs. My bud Louie had some serious obedience issues and he's night and day after the training with Meg. Reasonable pricing too. Highly recommend!
We had a wonderful experience with Front Range K9 Academy! They really took time to understand our hopes for training, unique challenges of owning a blue heeler, & gave us a realistic look at what to expect from training. They worked with us to get the best results for our dog & to ensure our training would last. Definitely worth it to see our dog so happy & to be more confident owners!
We had a great experience at Front Range K9 Academy! We did the core obedience program with our Aussie puppy and worked with Jordan and Meg. They were both so knowledgeable and great to work with! We learned so much and are excited to return in the future for more training.
