Front Range K9 Academy

I cannot say enough good things about this canine program. . I worked with Meg with a four year old border collie that had been living in someone’s bathroom for her whole life. She had no skills at all. Now she lives comfortably, is more relaxed, has more fun and can do all the things you hope a dog can do. (Sit, stay, heal, come, etc) Before this class, she was afraid of the wind. I drove an hour each way just to take this class with my dog and it was worth it. If you want to train with your dog, where the instructor teaches you how to work with your dog and not just take over, This is the class for you.

Training with Front Range K9 Academy provided us the superpowers for managing life with our large, very active pup. Our trainer was outstanding and communicated clearly every step of the way and provided great feedback to help us improve. Email support and guideance with questions between classes was super helpful as training outside of the classroom provided many more variables. Thanks to this team!

Front Range K9 Academy is the best! My dog was almost 1 year old (a reservation rescue mix breed of a great pyrenes and cattle dog of some sort?) super reactive with other dogs, almost uncontrollable behavior if or when she would see another dog. I took her to Front Range K9 academy for an evaluation and consultation. During the evaluation Jordon was able to quickly asses her behavior and explain it me in a way that I could understand. I signed her up for 12 sessions of obedience training. We started our journey...it was slow at first just simple things that take time and owner consistency, but I was starting to see progress. The key to all this training is owner consistency, the more the dog experiences consistent behavior from its owner the more the dog will want to work. As we moved through the summer months my dog was getting better and better and I was getting more excited about training her. That's when I really started noticing how much more confident my dog was and so much less reactive to other dogs. My dog graduated from Front Range K9 Academy obedience training in October of 2024 and she is a so much better of a dog! For example last week when walking her on a narrow trail we encountered a dog and owner coming toward us. I used the obedience commands and distraction techniques that we have been working on. The other dog was lunging and snarling at my dog as it passed. My dog sat perfectly still beside me and did not react to other dog at all, she just listened to my commands and watched silently. After the other dog passed I gave her lots of praise and encouragement which she deserved....but it would not have been possible without the great training and techniques that we learned together from Front Range K9 Academy. I would highly recommend Front Range K9 Academy if you are interested in having a well behaved and confident canine.
