FirstBarkDerrick and Bee are the absolute best, they care so much about dogs and do the best job training not only dogs but the owners as well. The puppy socialization was life changing for us and our pup absolutely loved going (and was obsessed with seeing Bee). The training classes are amazing and they are so helpful and informative, the best training and trainers you could ask for!

Do you have any large breed pups available? My beautiful German Shepherd died recently and we are grieving. Puppy needed. She will be a family member for two senior adults.
Hello Lenore, good morning We are a dog training company in Avon, CT. We do not have dogs for sale or adoption here. But we are so sorry for your loss. However, we do work tirelessly with New England Puppy Rescue who helps save all the lost and abandoned puppies. We have pups that just arrived to our safety, with two in foster care at our home now (they are Shepherd/Cattle dog mixes). They will be up on New England Puppy Rescue website by the end of this week. Go fill out an application today! Good luck in finding your next furry family member!

Highly recommend CMDT. I think my favorite part about our training here was seeing how much Bee and Derrick care about each individual dog. I love watching the livestreams during their socialization program and seeing how Bee provides structure and training while showing each dog so much love and encouraging playtime. My girl, Bunny, has left that program with many friends. I knew training a puppy would be both hard and time consuming but I didn’t realize how fun it could be until I participated in Puppy School 1. I have so much knowledge now about being a better dog parent and I find myself rushing home from work to train with my pup. You really leave there with the skills to mold your puppy into a great dog.
We had the best 1:1 dog training experience with Bee at CMDT! Our dog did absolutely incredible where we were even surprised as owners, and Bee was extremely knowledgeable, patient, and a pleasure to work with! We love her energetic positive self! The additional services they provide are incredible and we highly recommend them to everyone! We can’t wait to be back!

My dog Honey and I have been training with Bee and Derrick for over a year now beginning with Puppy School I and II. CMDT offers many different types of training. We have learned so much as they are knowledgeable and professional. Not only do they love what they do, but they treat your dogs like their own. We transitioned to private training sessions with Bee to focus on Honey’s reactivity and the progress has been incredible. We love CMDT and recommend to all humans and dogs.
I would recommend Bee and Canis Mountain to anyone looking for a dog trainer! As a veterinarian, we are taught the importance of positive reinforcement training and Bee’s training perfectly matches with everything I have learned.
