Canis Mountain Dog Training

Bee and Derrick are absolutely amazing to work with in all capacities! They are fully trained/certified and their training does not utilize any negative aspects to it which I love and they are the absolute best to work with! My dog, Emmy, and I found CMDT a little over a year ago when she was only 6 months old. I had started training with her but needed/wanted some more help and they met with me and have guided me in the best ways to help her - first when she was a puppy and now with some more advanced skills to help her build confidence, get rid of her anxieties, and help her leash skills, and overall obedience, as well as learning fun tricks and agility too! They are so patient and kind and truly care about all of the dogs they work with! Emmy is OBSESSED with Bee and Derrick as well and loves classes with them and the attention she gets from them. They are truly so patient and helpful with all of the questions that I have and have made such a big difference in my ability to work with my dog and help her to have the best life. They utilize an app where they answer questions in between sessions as well, and provide information and homework to complete for the classes you are taking to help you and your pup to be successful, which is truly amazing. The adult socialization they do is amazing as well - Emmy gets energy out, has learned to be confident and play with other dogs really well, and gets to learn new things as well when she is there. I truly can't say enough amazing things about Bee and Derrick and all of the training programs and memberships they have at CMDT. Emmy and I have both come so far since working with them and we enjoy every class that we go too. They also have the best leashes around, which has helped me to be able to be able to have Emmy on a leash around my waist and be able to walk her hands free which helps me to handle her more successfully and appropriately. They are honestly the best trainers around and the only ones I recommend! Thank you Bee and Derrick for all of your hard work and dedication!

We absolutely love Canis! As first-time pet owners, we had a horrible experience with a vet who told us we should give up our puppy for being “too aggressive.” We met with Bee and Derrick as a “last hope,” and they completely put us at ease. They were willing to meet with our girl no matter her behaviors, and after our first meet and great, we knew this was the right place for us. Our girl (and us) has learned so many great things. Our puppy is doing great and LOVES the socialization program. We have nothing but amazing things to say about this company. Thank you, Canis, for giving us hope and helping our girl thrive!

I’m forever grateful to Bee and Derrick at CMDT. Through a positive approach, they have helped my dog and I work through his dog reactivity. Because of private and personalized instruction, my dog has continued to gain confidence and reduce his reactivity, and I have become a more confident dog handler. CMDT offers wonderful group classes where safety and wellbeing of the dogs come first. I’ve had the joy of attending numerous group classes, and become more educated on how to help my dog through loose leash walking, trick work, and even scent work!
