Teach your puppy great manners and socialize your puppy in a safe, clean environment! Group dog training classes for puppies and adults are held inside our Dog Center. Our certified, formally educated dog trainers teach you the skills to raise your dog to be a social, happy family member! We offer Puppy Socials for socialization, Puppy Kindergarten for puppy manners, and our Puppy Academy program (our daycare program for young puppies (10-24 weeks of age) that includes extra socialization and training throughout the day.) Graduates of our Puppy Academy program are eligible to stay on in our Dog Daycare program. We offer a Basic Manners class for dogs over 7 months of age that teaches foundational manners.

Island Canine Academy offers a variety of training options to suit your needs. Some of these options are; basic on leash control, complete on and off leash obedience, behavior modification, distraction training, private puppy lessons and board to train. Follow up lessons are always free of charge. We are now offering general boarding to dogs who have been through our program.

I am a Certified Dog Trainer, serving RI and MA. Harm free, treat-based training method is followed. No E-Collars, choke or prong collars used. Training sessions are private and in your home to start. We move outdoors, using locations that will help strengthen your dog's good manners when they see other dogs, meet new people and see and hear unfamiliar sights and sounds. Loose leash walking and no jumping are popular training requests. Families learn to teach their dogs new behaviors to take the place of the unwanted ones. I am available to my clients between session to help trouble shoot if difficulties with homework or new behaviors arise. Let's get started!
