Zoom Room Dog Training

Wow, Annie and her team at Zoom Room totally blew my expectations out of the water. I found out that they offer free classes to foster dogs/parents and signed up. The space is bright and clean and my dog Oliver LOVES it there. The trainers are friendly, they explained things so well and really helped me feel confident that my foster dog - a 78lb pitbull mix- could learn so much and behave so well! But even more valuable, they showed me how to effectively my train him in small steps, breaking behaviors down and rewarding him often. The classes are offered at different times, including later in the evenings, which was great for my strict work schedule. Most of the obedience classes I attended were either very small or ended up being just me, so I always got a lot of attention and help and my questions answered. They tailored training to our needs and my requests and gave me ideas and tips for further training, homework to practice, and additional resources. The trainers Erin, Tom, Sharlina, and Raven were attentive, informative, personable, fun -- everyone seems to enjoy their jobs and they're good at it! Oliver is more consistent on his recall and "down", he's great at "touch", he goes to his bed when asked (and often stays there!), and I have strategies to distract him or u-turn him in a pinch. I love to show off his "settle"! Raven even helped us practice specific situations that trigger Ollie or distract him by playing dog barking! I am a bit speechless that they offer this service for free to foster dogs/parents -- it's truly priceless. And we need it! If Oliver is gonna get adopted, he needs to be on his absolute best behavior. Annie and the transfers at zoom room have jump started that path for us and I'm so incredibly grateful. I hope others realize what a contribution to the community they make by doing this. Thank you all again for being so positive about Oliver and believing in him!! Zoom Room helped us bond and learn together and I would recommend them to anyone who wants some additional training for their pooch.

I have the pleasure of attending a puppy+ training for Mocha, with instructor Tom. It turns out we are the only puppy in the class, but Tom still happily worked with us and enjoyed the class time. Mocha loves Tom, the training area is clean and spacious, accessible water, lots of fun and treats. Tom is professional and give Mocha a good start on name call, sit, down instructions. He is flexible on the schedule and adjust to our need based on what I asked. I really like this place and I strongly recommend Zoom Room Santa Clara to new puppy owners.
