Yuruani Olguin is the founder of Yuruani Olguin Dog Training, Inc. She has worked extensively with clients throughout New York City, helping build relationships based on mutual respect and understanding.
Yuruani is CPDT-KA certified and her training is based on force-free techniques, taking into account all aspects of each individual dog’s situation, including breed, background, temperament and, very importantly, household environment.
Yuruani is also a Certified Separation Anxiety Trainer (CSAT). She specializes in working with clients whose dogs suffer from separation anxiety through a humane systematic desensitization protocol. Her goal is to help dogs and their humans live a happy and healthy life together.

I had 6 sessions with Yuri for a senior dog I've been fostering - his conditions definitely make him a special case, and Yuri was so patient with him, helping me to do the same. Our sessions helped Laddie gain confidence, and also contributed to our bond which has helped him make great strides between each lesson.
Yuri always shared helpful notes and videos after our sessions and great reminders before our next sessions and had quick replies for any questions I sent in between.
And best of all - Laddie loved her!

I was looking for a trainer to help with specific issues I was facing with my 5-year old shitzu. Yuruani was really kind and professional. She was very carefully with our concerns and figured out the best training for my dog. The sessions were great, she was always very clear and patient explaining commands and exercises, which made me feel very confident with the training. With a few lessons we were able to see the results. She is amazing and we highly recommend!

Our dog absolutely loved her and responded very well to her gentle, yet effective techniques. Yuri is a kind and thoughtful guide for anyone looking to get a better handle on their pup’s behavior. The weekly in-home visits were far more effective than any puppy class or other resource we tried. Absolutely worth it!

Yuri is hands down the best! She was super patient with our new pup Snorri and taught him and, more importantly, us the best tips to succeed with training. We could tell from the first minute of meeting her that she loves training dogs. Thanks to Yuri, we now have a perfectly trained pup adapted to city life!
