I can’t recommend Angela highly enough! She worked with me and my now 7-year-old Rottweiler puppy to help train her as a psychiatric service dog, and the experience was nothing short of exceptional. From the very beginning, Angela was incredibly sweet and gentle with my pup—her warmth and genuine love for animals really stood out. She’s not only kind, but also impressively knowledgeable about service dog training and behavior. What I appreciated most was how flexible and understanding she was about our specific needs. She always made sure the training was tailored to what would support both me and my dog best, never using a one-size-fits-all approach. Thanks to Angela, my Rottie is not only a reliable and well-trained service dog but also clearly bonded with her along the way. I cannot say enough about Angela and Yuruani Olguin Dog traning. We added two Havanese sibling pups to our home and were very overwhelmed. We had Havanese before and knew the breed to be relatively quiet and calm, good with people and honestly, great companions. Our puppies Bruno and Coco, were litter mates and they were roiling balls of energy and very vocal. While we expected this from puppies, when they got to be just over a year old, we decided to look into a professional trainer as we were out of our depth with these two little personalities. Enter Angela. In our first in person session, Angela showed us that yes, they can be trained, yes, they can behave and yes, they can listen and learn. It gave us such hope and we (and they) looked forward to Angela's visit every week. (Coco will whine and look at the door every Tuesday starting at noon, until Angela shows up) We learned so much and have really valued and relied on Angela's experience as a trainer and an Animal Behaviorist, that we booked another set of session and it has been worth it. Our dogs are behaving and we have learned how to listen to them better so we know what they want and when. We are so thankful to Angela and Yuruani Olguin Dog Training for helping us get on the road to a peaceful dog and human family unit! I give them 5 paws up!

I highly recommend working with Angela - I always say she’s a dog whisperer! Her passion for dogs (and all animals) make our at-home dog training sessions super enjoyable and engaging - Not to mention she’s a gem of a person. As first-time Vizsla owners, we wanted an experienced certified dog trainer given their demanding needs and Angela completely surpassed our expectations. We saw immediate results after one session and our continued sessions with her have helped us navigate the crazy puppy stage with ease. We also signed up for Puppy Kindergarten classes, which Angela teaches. Our experience has been wonderful - Our puppy gets to reinforce obedience cues he’s learned and socialize with puppies, all while seeing his favorite person! All in all, I cannot recommend Angela enough. My partner and I (and our pup) are forever greatful!

We really can’t recommend Helen enough! We adopted our first dog, Pippa, in June and had been lucky enough to be connected with Helen through a friend whose dog Helen also trained. She is so pleasant and patient, but what makes her so effective is how simple she makes it to work on reinforcing the behavior and training in between sessions. Every training exercise makes sense and can be reinforced in a 10-minute session whenever you can spare the time. She helped Pippa become a dream in the house and a terrific walker – she keeps pace without tugging, won’t lunge at runners or bikers, doesn’t stall for attention, and responds to “leave it” (even when there is a tasty looking stick right there for the taking). We loved how flexible Helen was with what we covered in each session. She does an excellent job layering in different commands to make it easier for Pippa to learn. If there is something that isn’t sticking or taking longer to learn, Helen breaks it down further until Pippa gets a handle on it. She sends detailed notes and videos recapping what we did during the session and how to continue doing it in between. She goes so far above and beyond by making herself available over email, answering promptly with suggestions and answers that include thoughtful considerations based on your specific dog. Most importantly, she reminds you that everything will be ok. Progress might not always be linear, but she knows how to make sure that it is always progress. Our last session focused on Pippa’s next frontier, a move out of the city and into a house with her own yard. We were so touched that she offered to continue being a resource for us if we ever have questions, even though we will be several states away. It is just one other example of how she truly goes above and beyond. Pippa surely loves her, and it is pretty clear that she genuinely loves Pippa. If you are looking for a world class trainer for your new (or old) best friend, look no further.
