Yuruani Olguin Dog Training

Over the past 6 months my rather large and highly energetic puppy (Millie) and I have benefited enormously from private sessions with trainer Helen Columbo. A perceptive and responsive trainer, Helen breaks down long term goals into steps that feel manageable for us. She is both personable and highly professional-detailed notes after each session give us a road map to follow and are so comprehensive they almost feel like a second session. I really cannot say enough praise but in short Helen gives us (Millie and me) confidence!!

I worked with Angela for my rescue pup’s fear/anxiety around other dogs. She was incredibly communicative from the start and listened to all our concerns. She gave us great direction and trained us humans on how to work with my dog Shortbread. It’s clear she has a love for dogs and passion for helping them. We did our homework each week that Angela gave us and we were able to train him on new obedience and impulse control commands at each training session. She gave us the tools to work with bread boy and build trust with him, as we don’t know what he went through before us. She explained the why behind each element of training which made it so easy to understand how we can work with our pup in different situations. We’ve been able to introduce him to a few new dogs safely, and it’s a work in progress making him feel safe in the city still, we feel confident in training with him on our own. Thank you Angela!
