Yuruani Olguin Dog Training

My dog Butter and I have been training with Angela and it’s been great. He’s made a lot of progress walking on leash, potty training and settling in a busy environment in just 3 sessions. My dog picks up at least 2 new commands each session. Angela has taught us great techniques that are rooted in understanding my dog’s behavior and his surroundings. Her techniques are very effective and my dog seems excited to learn each time we have a session. It’s also great that we get a summary email after each session. I was worried about having a dog in a city environment but feel confident with the training that we’re doing that we’re setting my dog up for success.

I can't say enough about the Yuruani Olguin Dog Training team—Our trainer, Helen, was simply amazing. So kind, knowledgable, and patient with our dog. Not to mention encouraging throughout each week! We ended up doing six private sessions one on one, which really helped our dog to relax, learn, and listen. Highly recommend for anyone needing more help teaching their dog basic, but also complex, commands!

This place was recommended by the animal behavior center in Manhattan to help train my dog, who has severe anxiety. I’ve been through many trainers, to no avail, and I can’t tell you how gratifying it is to have such an extremely competent and patient trainer. If something doesn’t work, Angela (our trainer) can pivot to something new. She has a wealth of knowledge and she encourages me when I feel like I am incapable of handling the situation. In very short order, my dog and I both made tremendous progress and I don’t think that would have been the case without such an experienced, caring, and knowledgeable trainer. I am now confident and relaxed in situations that use to terrify me with my dog. She’s given us a future I wasn’t sure was possible and I couldn’t be more grateful

Helen was a wonderful trainer. She was helpful, always willing to answer our questions both during and in between sessions, and genuinely cared for our dog's needs. We worked on things like general obedience, leash training, and resource guarding. She was organized, responsible, and professional. We would highly recommend her and Yurani Olguin Dog Training! It doesn't hurt that Helen always came to each session with the most delicious treats - our dog absolutely loved her!
