True Canine Training offers consistent, positive, and personable training so your dog is clear-headed and motivated to learn. We are located in Scottsdale, AZ, but will work with dogs and dog owners up to 150 miles from Scottsdale. We educate the dog owners on our methodology so clients can reinforce their dogs' training and we provide excellent customer service. We offer both Board & Train and In-Home Lessons, and we provide lifetime support for both the in-home lessons and the board and train program.

After a 3 week board and train with Ben she came back to us a new dog that integrated well into our household. Ben helped us with introducing her to our existing 3 dogs and we could not be happier. Ben was our trainer of choice earlier this year when we adopted two puppies and we knew he is the one to help us with the new addition. All of our dogs have very different personalities and he adjusts so easily to work with each one in the manner that works best for them. Thank you Ben for helping us achieve a harmonious multi dog household!

Wow, what can I say??? AMAZING!!! Ben has done a tremendous job working with my pup! The knowledge he has and gives is incomparable!! My pup is now running on all cylinders and listens to my commands, like super on point! I 100% recommend him for any and all types of pups & behaviors! Ben is truly a dog whisperer!

I can’t thank Ben enough for his help in getting our 8 month old Australian Labradoodle to be well behaved. We chose to have Tootsie stay on campus with Ben for 3 weeks of intensive training. When he returned her to us, she was a completely different (in a very positive way)puppy. She learned numerous commands that have improved her behavior and made our life much less stressful! Guests arrive at our home and they’re not faced with a nippy jumpy puppy. She has learned to walk well in a “heel” position also .
Additionally, Ben spent about 3 hours with my wife and me making sure we humans were as smart as our puppy.
Amazing customer service and support True Canine Training will continue to support us for the life of the dog at no additional charges.
We highly recommend Ben Ryba and True Canine Training for your dogs training needs.

He gave me the tools and the instructions to manage my malamute shepherd that’s going to be bigger than I am. The methods were sound, and my dog gained confidence.
He worked on my time schedule. It was very convenient that he could come to my home.
And I love that I always have lifetime follow up in case issues or behaviors come up.
I feel like we got it right the first time and the money and time I spent training will be much less then if I did it wrong and had to correct it later. Money well spent.

Ben is a wonderful trainer who spent the time to understand our dogs and home dynamics. He helped us be better trainers, helped our leash anxious dog be relaxed at the park and built great training protocols for our dogs. We could not be happier with the results and highly recommend True Canine for owners willing to put in a little time to help train.
