Trouwe Hond K-9

I have a 3-year old female Boxer. She loves people and she’s a wonderful family dog, but she’s extremely high energy, dominant, and unpredictably reactive with other dogs. It became difficult to walk her where we might encounter other dogs because I didn’t have control. I can’t say enough about how training with Dave has improved our quality of life. It’s incredible! Since Miley came back from training I’m able to walk her comfortably on leash and off. She pays full attention to me is follows my lead. We enjoy the bogs and beach almost every day and stopped relying on doggie daycare for exercise. The support we receive from Dave has been fantastic and I’m so glad we had the opportunity to work with him.

Dave, I can't say enough great things about the training Bowie took part in with you. The results greatly exceeded my expectations! Her behavior is really impressive, her manner and temperment hugely improved, and her listening skills near impeccable. I have an 18-month old, high-energy, lab. It had gotten to the point where I couldn't take him for walks as he had no leash control, inside the house he had trouble settling down and wouldn't listen, and would just get super excited about everything and anything. It was difficult to enjoy being with him, which is why we brought him to Dave. Dave is ultimate professional with a deep background and great knowledge. He is also super responsive to questions. After working with my lab, the difference is unbelievable. I know how to communicate better with him, and he knows how to listen. We are able to go for walks and I now have the dog I envisioned. There is still work to be done, but Dave gave me the tools to continue training and be successful. Couldn't recommend Dave enough. 1000% worth it. If you are considering hiring a trainer for your dog, hire Dave and Trouwe Hond.

We brought our 1 year old Portuguese Water dog to Trouwe Hound and unbelievable things occurred. Bentley is like a new dog. He is happy AND well-behaved. We are just thrilled with the results. David is amazing and much more than a dog whisperer. It is the people (like us) he trains and coaches with his simplistic but very important training methods. You will not find a better trainer for your beloved pet. We cannot thank David enough!

We recently brought our 7 month old Cavapoo Daisy and ourselves to be trained by Dave at Trouwe Hond K-9 and we couldn’t be more pleased with the results. We left a puppy acting very much like an adolescent not listening to us and came home to a dog that has become a good listener. It is a real pleasure to take Daisy for long walks without being interrupted constantly by picking things up off the ground to eat and jumping and lunging at every stranger she meets. We know we have our work cut out for us as “trainers” but are excited that we have made positive strides thanks to Dave!
