Trouwe Hond K-9

Extremely pleased with the training my dog, Hula, received through Trouwe Hond K-9. Dave was amazing and communicated very well with me the needs of my dog and her training process. He helped guide Hula and I to where i hoped to be with her. She was very leash reactive and just rough around the edges. She is a very energetic dog and training with her has been a challenge for me until meeting Dave. He gave me the tools and guidance needed to be confident and continue training on my own. I had a previous negative experience with a board and train whereas Dave made me feel comfortable with my dog in his hands. He constantly checks in, even after taking her home to talk through training. I wouldn't recommend any other training at this point. If you have a tricky dog and are willing to learn, Dave is your man.

David is absolutely amazing! We're incredibly grateful for his work with our dog, Ruffles. We brought her for a three-week session to address a number of issues that had gotten progressively worse over the past few years (aggression, territorial behavior, barking, etc). It was hard for me to imagine trusting someone with our dog for that length of time, but David made us feel completely at ease at our first meeting. He has a remarkable amount of experience and intuition, and he immediately understood Ruffles and her behavioral issues. He's incredibly thorough and makes sure that owners walk away with the skills they need to continue to reinforce the training at home. We went into this experience with a lot of stress and came out with a different dog (and we enjoyed ourselves along the way). We 100% recommend David and his program. Thank you so much, David!

Thanks to Dave's training of both Rosie, myself and wife we have been able to go wherever we want with no worries unlike some of our friends that have dogs that are not trained properly. We have taken Rosie to Trouwe Hond K-9 for 2 sessions once at 6 months and more recently just before she turned 2. With Dave's training and our continually training, Rosie gets to enjoy life as she should, outside and in any type of situation. The more we train her the more confidence we have in her to be free and live the best life outside where she belongs. I highly recommend bringing your dog here and we will be going back as the more training the happier she is.

I brought my 16 month old very energetic and VERY stubborn Labrador Retriever to Dave after getting a recommendation from a fellow dog owner. My friend said his Swiss Mountain Dog's time with David was "lifechanging". Well, it has been for me too. I've owned dogs all my life but for this pup, I needed some professional guidance! During our initial meeting, David listened very carefully to my issues with Finn, who has a great personality but exceptionally stubborn! Finn stayed for 2 weeks of training and is much calmer and a pleasure to go on a walk with now. He is becoming a fun companion instead of a "frustrating project". We continue with the occasional follow-up training sessions to perfect his skills and obedience issues! David is very flexible about scheduling appointments, great in following up, and Finn absolutely adores him. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend David to anyone looking for obedience training. We are so glad to have found David to work with our dog! We have a 7 month old Leonberger mix who was exhibiting some normal young dog behavioral issues but since she's a large breed we didn't want those puppy quirks to become adult dog problems. We found Trouwe Hound through their glowing Facebook reviews and of course David had seen all the issues we described and knew how the handle them. He was professional and extremely knowledgeable! He kept us updated on the training process, and worked with our dog not just in a controlled training area but out in crowded venues to develop her control and discipline. He didn't just work with our dog he also took time to teach us and make sure we had the tools and knowledge to monitor and correct our dog's behavior. He was very accommodating of our schedule and conscious of our budget.
