I’ve had a few different trainers throughout my dogs’ lives and Sam really sets a new standard for results! He basically speaks “dog” and helped me figure out how to help my pup with a variety of issues from leash pulling to crate anxiety to very frustrating car anxious behavior. He talked me through communication with the pup and helped me practice. He is knowledgeable but also is honest and says when he doesn’t know the answer. I would highly recommend Sam and would absolutely utilize his help again if/when issues arise and I’m in the area.

Sam is the best! We were looking for someone who could train our dog to be great on trails and Sam was the perfect fit. We started lessons the day our puppy could finally go outside for walkies and it was the best decision we could've made. We had a serious puller on our hands (she's part husky - sled dog energy!) and Sam was able to get her into a heal within the first 15 mins of our walk, it was honestly amazing. As we kept learning with Sam we transitioned to the e-collar, which was another great decision and possibly even saved her life after a recent walk when Lilly bolted toward an aggressive dog, but the e-collar got her to come back before she made contact with the other dog. Sam is great with dogs and people and I'd recommend him to anyone looking to improve your dog's behavior on walks and in public settings. Sam's lessons have taught us so much and our relationship with our pup is getting better every day, and walkies all the more enjoyable thanks to Sam!

I hired Sam to help with my mini Aussie, Freckles, who was difficult to walk on a leash and wanted to chase cars. Sam was highly recommended by a friend, so I decided to give him a try and I am so glad I did. Sam was amazing to work with and fantastic with my dog. His skill and passion as a trainer was apparent from the beginning. After 3 sessions with Sam, my dog walks on a leash without pulling, walks at my pace, and is no longer trying to chase cars. I went on a walk with a friend after our 3rd session and my friend told me to tell Sam that my dog behaves so much better now. Sam has a calm, friendly, and patient demeanor which worked so well for my dog, and for me! He believes in owner involvement and coaching. At the start of each session he asks what I would like to accomplish during the session. He is great at demonstrating and explaining his techniques and then letting you try them as he guides you along. On our 2nd session, Sam walked my dog down a busy street and he didn’t try to chase a single car! Sam also had helpful answers to my many questions. He is so knowledgeable on dog behavior and is full of tips on how to get your dog to do what you want it to do (or not do). He can help you understand why your dog does the crazy things it does! I highly recommend Sam. He is super nice, patient, professional and you can tell he loves what he does and wants you and your dog to be successful. I am so happy with the results. Sam is the BEST!

Sam's services were more than dog training. Sam taught me how to teach my dogs etiquette on and off leash . Sam reduced my anxiety and brought confidence to me and my pups, he taught my pups skills and helped me understand diligence and training using repition and kindness. I have one deaf pup and he was able to mend his training to his needs. He recognized they're shortcomings and strengthened their weaknesses. My pups are trained on and off leash which helps me confidently integrate and provide a safe and fun future altogether. And, they great him on the trails out in the Wild as a friend, which proves all the more that he is a genuinely kind human. I highly recommend an investment in his services.
