About TP's Dog Training of San Antonio
Would you like a calm and obedient canine? Look no further than my 25 years of dog training, which has included potty training, basic, intermediate and advanced canine training. I started canine training in the military, after my military retirement, I was hired as a canine training instructor for the Department of Homeland Security. I only use positive re-enforcement training and motivation techniques to ensure your pet understands and learns the desired behavior. My services do include an free initial consolation at a place of your choice. Sessions will be conducted in 1 hour blocks. The hour is broken down as follows: 3 instruction segment's of 10 minutes of training with a 5 minutes recovery period for the dog.

Today was our first day of training with our 4 month old Doberman Pinscher! Our biggest concern was how much he would bite at our 11 year old German Shepherd and essentially wouldn’t leave him alone. Travis worked with the 2 together for less than 30 minutes and I’ve seen a HUGE shift in behavior already. I not only chalk this up to Travis’ hands on training with our puppy and his brother, but his training of US as dog owners. Travis is very knowledgeable on behavior and handles corrections in such a calm manner which isn’t intimidating whatsoever (as some trainers can be). I look so forward to our next session and to see how well behaved our boy is at the end of our training package!

Travis was wonderful. As soon as he walked in he picked up on our pooches poor door manners as I was holding her and that is where our training began. He had her calm and under his spell within almost immediately. He explained everything he was doing and why and gave all family members the opportunity to try the new techniques. Travis gave us tips and homework to continue working on door manners as well as a couple of other issues we mentioned. Our pup has responded beautifully to what Travis taught us. We got so much out of this first session we have already booked our next. Travis is a true dog whisperer. We highly recommend him to anyone wanting to improve their dogs skills as well as their own. We learned things we were doing wrong and things we were doing right. Our dog is calmer and we feel more in control of her instead of feeling like she is in control of us and in only one session! Amazing!

My dog is a little older (6) and still retained all the skills that Mr. Travis taught us. I look forward to working with him and strongly recommend him to others. After our session I took my dog to the park and practiced during peak hours (lots of distractions) and he followed every single one. This was after working with Mr. Travis for the first time! Please book his services asap you will not regret it!
