TP's Dog Training of San Antonio

We did not have a good experience with our reactive rescue dog and do not recommend. Edited to add: scheduling was very difficult, including a no-show for the first appointment. We didn't expect the dog to be fixed in one hour, but he now has additional triggers that were introduced during the session we had. I also disagree with training philosophies that emphasize dominance or the dog "trying to be the alpha." This training style might work for basic obedience, but beyond that, I feel compelled to encourage advanced training elsewhere.

We were very fortunate to have found TP's Dog Training. We have two dogs that were in desperate need of behavior and obedience training. In just two sessions, the difference in our dogs has been beyond our expectations. Travis is patient and takes the time to explain each step of the training to ensure we can successfully continue our efforts in-between sessions. He engages the entire family to build continuity and balance. Our dogs have very different personalities and training needs but he (seemingly effortless) assesses them and jumps right in with exactly what they each need. His ability to read each dog and construct a plan so quickly is astounding and almost like a sixth sense. I am very excited to continue with more sessions to help our dogs (and us) find the balance and peace we were lacking. If you've had any apprehension about selecting the best fit for your dog training needs, I guarantee you are not going to find anyone better. Thank you Travis for all your help and guidance so far and we absolutely cannot wait to continue on this journey with you.

I dislike that I have to leave a dissatisfactory review but customer service should be paramount for all businesses. I initially called and received a call back from the owner and we spoke at length on the services he can provide and I was excited to use his services so I scheduled the initial consultation for 2 days later on May 18th and even received automated email reminders of my upcoming appointment the day before. On the day of the appointment when I noticed it was 30 minutes past my scheduled appointment I called and left a message and an hour after no call or no show I sent an email. I did not receive and further communication or an attempt to reschedule the appointment however I did receive an automated email the next day on how much of a pleasure if was to spend time with me and my dog (for an appointment that never took place)..lol Life happens so had I received a courtesy call advising that the appointment needed to be rescheduled or ANY call for that matter this review would not exist but 2 wks later, NO refund NO call but yet I am still getting automated messages on scheduling additional sessions when the first never occured.
