My little 8 month old PooChi, Saffron, loved The Bark Stop and especially the owner Joe Violante. Joe is a 100% positive and high energy trainer. He met Saffron where she was in the moment. She, in turn, was very responsive to his training style. And while I say that., I am the one who was actually being trained, Saffron was just having fun learning and following commands. I’ve been a dog owner most of my life… with a new pup, I needed a tune up and Joe gave me the tools. Joe is truly a master at his craft.

If you are looking for someone who truly understands the mind of your dog Joe is the person. Joe has helped me and my wife with confidence in our dog Peanut and how to understand their day to day thoughts. It truly has been an incredible experience our dog Peanut loved seeing Joe because not only is he the trainer but became extended family through the relationship we built in our sessions. Joe goes above and beyond to make sure you understand the reasoning in why dogs behave a certain way and that it truly makes him happy to see dogs and their owners have an inseparable bond. I would recommend The Bark Stop to every single dog owner without a doubt.

There are not enough words to describe how fantastic Joe is at The Bark Stop! We brought our 4.5 year old rescued boxer mix to get some help with building her confidence. She was fearful of most dogs and people that she hadn’t met when we first rescued her a few years ago. Since we started our 8-course training sessions, Maggie has become so confident around her triggers and even took her first visit to the Lake Baldwin dog park! She’s learning that other dogs can be her friends and with the tools and tips from Joe, I’m confident that we can continue growing Maggie’s confidence and skill. From her first session to her last (pictured), we’re so happy with the results and highly recommend Joe and The Bark Stop for all your training needs! I think it goes to show that your dog doesn’t need to be a puppy to achieve great results with training.

Joe is an absolute amazing dog trainer. From the first session, our golden retriever Grady, loved him! He is patient with your fur babies, listens to your concerns and always addresses them, and has a way with dogs like I have never seen! He really thrives on using positive reinforcement and truly cares about the dogs that he is training. Joe is absolutely doing what he is meant to do! Amazing dog trainer that I would recommended to anyone.
