Sura Dog Training (certified dog training)

My dog, Pepperoni, had a very tough live. He was a Thai street dog for the first 3-4 years of his life. He is scared of people (especially men) and will bite any stranger that tries to touch him. I took Pepperoni to one session at Sura Dog Training and he is a brand new dog! Ty was great with him and had him taking food right from his hand within the first 20 minutes, which is more progress than he made with 10 sessions at another trainer. Ty really cares about the dogs he works with and will follow up and continue to provide tips. Pepperoni never learned how to "play" with other dogs or toys. He is now obsessed with his toys (especially Kong) and finally socializing with other dogs instead of just ignoring them. I cried happy tears being able to watch Pepperoni frolic around with other dogs, sniffing and running. The improvements in Pep with just one session and about a month of practice is amazing! I would highly recommend you take your dog to Sura Dog Training. Especially if you were like me and ready to just accept the fact that you would never have a "normal" dog. I am excited to see what a year of practice will bring!

We took our dog Friday to meet with Ty to work on leash reactivity, loose leash walking, and jumping up. The advice he gave us was very easy to follow and the training regimen he suggested fits easily into our busy schedules! We were able to easily use his suggestions with our other dog as well. After our session, Ty sent us an email detailing everything he had mentioned with notes and example videos which was very helpful! We have been working with both of our dogs for about a week and already notice an improvement-we were able to take them to the farmers market yesterday with no melt downs around other dogs!

Ty was extremely helpful with our 9 month old pup. Our pup has had limited socialization and experiences due to the pandemic and we needed help. We have followed Ty's advice and guidance and after 2 weeks our pup is able to do more outside activities w/ less fear and anxiety. We will continue to work w/ Ty and are now confidant that our pup will grow up to be a happy dog. I strongly recommend Ty and Sura Dog Training! We are are most appreciative for all the help.

Ty met us at a park to help us with our 6 month old puppy, Sasha, who has exhibited some fearful habits and also puppy biting, jumping, etc. Right away Ty established an excellent rapport with Sasha, who was sitting on his leg and trying to snuggle up to him within minutes. He had a well prepared list of things for us to go over based on the intake form I'd sent him, but he was also totally able to switch gears and address other concerns my husband and I brought up that had not been on the list. Lots of really great ideas. His methods are scientifically backed, gentle, positive, and dog-friendly!
