Wow! We are blown away. Jared took in our 8 month old English cocker spaniel, Turbo, whose name could not be more fitting, and went above our expectations. Turbo has A LOT of energy & struggles to calm her body. She now willingly stays on her place board on command, doesn’t jump, and walks directly next to us outside. Even with our other puppy in the home, Turbo listens to our commands & is much more well behaved. We couldn’t recommend Jared enough!

There are not enough great things I can say about Jared and his board and train program! We have a very reactive pit mix, Teddy, who used to be difficult to walk or take anywhere. In just 10 days, Jared helped Teddy become significantly less reactive, and gave us a dog that we can take anywhere. I no longer dread taking Teddy on walks or having to change our route because we see people or another dog. Jared truly transformed Teddy into a dog that anyone can confidently walk, with amazing recall and much better behavior overall. What really set Jared apart was his communication. We received daily texts, videos, and photos showing what Teddy was learning and how much progress he was making. It gave us so much peace of mind and made us feel involved every step of the way. Not only did Jared help Teddy improve tremendously, but he also gave us the tools and knowledge to continue Teddy’s success at home. We are beyond grateful and highly recommend Jared to anyone looking for a dedicated and effective dog trainer!

We had a wonderful experience with Stoic Canine. Our 1 YO pup was having some reactivity issues (especially with vehicles on our walks), and Jared was able to thoughtfully put a plan into action to help her out. She did a 10 day train/board program and when we picked her up she seemed like a new dog. Jared continues to reach out and offer support even after the training is over. He goes above and beyond to really help your dog and support the owners. I would definitely recommend his services!

We have been so pleased with our experience working with Jared at Stoic Canines! Jared came to our home to meet our dog, Enzo, and helped come up with a plan to best meet his needs. We adopted Enzo at 4 1/2 after having lived in several homes and he was very reactive. Since his 2 week board and train experience, he is a much calmer and less reactive. Jared's knowledge and experience with dogs is phenomenal and his expertise has really made a positive impact in our home. After only 1 week of his 2 week board and train program, Enzo had made enormous progress! Walking him on a leash in public was not possible prior to training and 1 week in everyone in our family could walk him through town on a leash (with distractions like people, bicycles, cars etc...). By the end of thr second week, we felt equipped to continue the process, and Jared has made it clear that he is always available for us to reach out with questions. Jared taught us the strategies and methods that he used with Enzo so that we can continue working with him at home. He was happy to answer all questions and to provide a very personalized experience for our dog's needs. We loved getting feedback and videos of Enzo's progress on a daily basis when he was in training.

I cannot recommend Jared at Stoic Canine enough! We recently left our terrier, Scout, with him for a week while we were away on vacation, and the results have been incredible. We initially reached out because Scout was struggling with several behaviors—most notably, he was very reactive and would bark aggressively at other dogs while on his leash. We also wanted to improve his recall, leash walking, and set better boundaries regarding him staying off the furniture. While we were away, he sent us consistent photo updates and short check-ins, which we absolutely loved. It gave us such peace of mind to see Scout’s progress in real-time. When Scout came home, Jared didn't just drop him off; he gave us a very thorough, hands-on lesson. He was incredibly patient with us as we "caught back up to speed," teaching us exactly how to maintain the training Scout had received. To top it off, Jared even came back a month later for a follow-up session to reinforce the training and ensure we were still on the right track. If you are looking for a trainer who is professional, communicative, and truly skilled at what he does, look no further than Jared. It was a fantastic experience, and Scout is a much happier, better-behaved dog because of it!
