I enrolled our 9.5 months German Shepherd puppy into 4 weeks daily training program to work on reactivity towards other dogs. It proved to be the best decision we made. While reactivity isn’t solved in a short period of time, almost a month after we finished the course we see huge improvements and more importantly have knowledge and tools to communicate with our pup. Austin worked on conditioning Moose to respond well to commands in the presence of triggers and that’s exactly what we needed. The daily training also served us well as controlled socializing environment, that in turn helped with arousal and resilience in a matter of exciting or uncomfortable situations. Also, Austin shared his knowledge and advice on a few issues we were dealing at home, and we appreciate his willingness to help greatly. The only critique I would have is not well thought out line of communication (this is not a critique towards the trainer, but team as a whole). I wish there would be more information provided during first week. Especially first few days. Something along the lines of this is what the daily structure looks like, this is what we expect to work on, etc. Also I would be great to received structured feedback every few days. Solid communication can improve customer experience significantly. Nevertheless, Stateline is truly worth every penny and you will not be disappointed!

Based on recommendations, I went to State Line Canine because I wanted to get started in PSA sport. I was 100% new to all of this and really didn’t know where to begin. I started working with Chris Hunt, and he has been a great teacher and mentor in getting Ivan ready. Everyone at State Line is friendly and easy to talk to. What I appreciate most about Chris is that he’s 100% honest with you. Sometimes people don’t want to have those honest conversations and will just tell you what you want to hear to get your money, but Chris will tell you the truth every time.

Stateline Canine did a wonderful job 3 years ago with one of my dogs, but dropped the ball horribly recently with my micro goldendoodle. She was there for the two week board and train. 10 days into the training, the trainer told me she thought my dog was there for the 4 week program, so she wasn’t concerned about the lack of progress my dog made. Once I clarified the situation, they geared up her training and kept her for an additional week, but it did nothing to change my dog’s behavioral issues. She still jumps up and nips, and does not respond when there are distractions. I wasted $2,000 taking this dog there.
