Stand Proud Dog Training

I am amazed at the transformation of our beautiful rescue - Rain. Thanks to her time spent with Stand Proud staff and trainers, she came back to us with exceptional behavior, manners, and overall disposition. She was also forgiving of our human foibles when practicing with her, and retained her set of skills she acquired from Stand Proud. I was grateful for the time spent in follow up emails, texts and zoom calls. I am looking forward to sustaining a long relationship with Stand Proud Dog Training and believe 100% in their methodology.

Stand Proud Dog Training is absolutely amazing, and I highly recommend them! Luna is my second Weimaraner, so this is not my first experience with professional dog training. With my first Weimaraner, I did both private training and board-and-train, so I definitely had something to compare this experience to. The results with Stand Proud have been incredible. After just one month of training, I could immediately see and feel a huge difference in Luna. She came home more confident, responsive, well-behaved, and so much easier to communicate with. What I especially appreciate is that Stand Proud doesn’t just train your dog. They teach you the principles and tools you need to continue the training at home. As long as you continue applying what they teach you, the results are truly amazing. I am extremely impressed with the level of training, knowledge, care, and professionalism at Stand Proud. Luna has become such a wonderful dog, and I am so grateful for everything they have done for her and for us. Thank you, Stand Proud! You guys are absolutely amazing at what you do. When I say phenomenal, that is an absolute understatement. From the very beginning, the communication, and updates were on point. Our dog did a three week board and train. She went in a total and complete dumpster fire. She came home refined, and a completely different dog. She’s a puppy so she still has her puppy moments, but the difference is night and day. We do have to keep up on the training at home, but it has been very easy. She’s beyond enjoyable now, and not stressful in any way. Every single person we dealt with was top-tier. From communication, updates, answering my multiple questions via text message once she returned home, the list goes on. The first in-home visit after she came home, from the trainer was super helpful. Pack walks for life is amazing, although I haven’t been able to get those in yet. Absolutely 110% worth the money. Again, phenomenal is an absolute gross understatement.

When we chose stand proud for Loki's training I was living in a constant state of anxiety and fear of leaving the house. By 10 months old Loki was over 100 pounds and extremely dog reactive. He was attacking the other dogs in our home and was uncontrollable on walks. We did a 2 week board and train program (because I couldn't stand to be away from him longer) since I chose a short time I committed to maintaining his training with the weekly group training and pack walks. They have now become our favorite part of every week. I now take Loki on hikes and walks with no fear and even to the very busy Sunday farmers markets at Idlewild. He is off leash capable while other dogs play around him which I never believed would be possible! Loki and I are not perfect but stand proud gave us the tools to be well mannered and safe in just about any situation. I absolutely love these trainers and the dog friends and owners we have met through this training program. If you need a companion that is confident, well mannered, and reliable stand proud is the place to go! Loki is now around 140 pounds and I don't think twice about putting him and myself in high stress situations!
