We are beyond pleased with trusting John the dog magician our boy Gabe. Our golden retriever became aggressive with some dogs and really had no manners- all our fault of course. After 4 private sessions, a month of day school and doing the homework we are proud to say we have a well behaved golden who we proudly can have people over to dinner without a scene! Gabe fell in love with the training and we will continue to work our end of the leash- we have the foundation now! Super grateful to Kimmy, John & Trew….thank you for everything.

If you’re looking for high quality dog training - especially for working dog breeds - Sparks K9 is the real deal. John was recommended to me by another trainer when I made a move from Texas to the Seattle and I couldn’t be happier working with him. I love John’s perspective on dog training, which focuses on relationship building and the bond between handler and dog. He’s given me tools to sharpen up basic obedience with my dog (a feisty malinois mix… IYKYK), coursework to learn new skills, and tools to motivate my dog to make training sessions more engaging and productive. A wide array of courses are offered at Sparks K9 and the value is excellent (as long as you put in the work)! I am very thankful for Sparks K9 and the owner/trainer John Sparks. He understands how to open a dogs thinking and reactive mind and how to channel the dogs drives to develop a happy, content and safe dog. I wasted a lot of money on trainers who only know how to start a dog, but not finish the training to where the dog finds his happy place within the family.
