Smarty Paws and specifically Julie, trainer extraordinaire, have worked wonders with Cooper, my Potcake (a rescue from the islands of Turks and Caicos)! Potcakes are street dogs that are rescued on the islands of Turks and Caicos and other Caribbean islands. As puppies of street dogs, fear is pretty much ingrained in them even though he was never on the streets. I started with Kinder puppy with Julie and we just passed our Service Dog class! Never in a million years did I think we could get this far! Cooper's confidence and his obedience are miles from where we started! Not only have we been through multiple classes with Julie, but Cooper also sees her at Bootcamp once or twice a week for play and more training! Smarty Paws has been amazing for both me and my puppy! They have fantastic trainers, but I want to highlight Julie specifically. My Great Dane is ECSTATIC and on her way to being very well TRAINED! I don't usually write reviews after just one day, but I am so incredibly impressed with Smarty Paws K9 Doggie Boot Camp that I had to share! I took my Great Dane, Lola there yesterday, and the results were immediate and absolutely amazing. From the moment I picked her up, it was clear she had the best day ever. She was absolutely radiating happiness, full of playful energy, and just beaming! But here's the crucial part: this is NOT a Doggie Daycare. The incredible team at Smarty Paws actively worked on her training throughout the entire day, seamlessly integrating it into their activities. To have Lola come home so joyful AND noticeably more well-behaved after just one session is truly remarkable. The difference in her focus and responsiveness after a single day of their "boot camp" approach was astounding. I want to give a special shout out to Julie, the Trainer who worked with Lola...Julie could have her own dog training reality show...she is THAT effective of a dog trainer! The facility is spotless, which is a huge plus, and you can tell the staff genuinely cares about the dogs. This isn't just a place for your dog to hang out; it's a full-on, comprehensive experience that combines fun, exercise, and crucial, effective training.
