I had never needed to formally train any of my dogs in the past. That all changed when our family was adopted by Bordeaux—a lovable but very high-energy Labrador who didn’t exactly come with good manners. Having never owned a Lab before, I found myself overwhelmed and unsure how to manage her behavior. A coworker recommended Julie at Smarty Paws, suggesting I try the Boot Camp and Obedience classes. That was hands down the best advice I could have received. Julie is truly a miracle worker. Bordeaux absolutely loves attending, and I noticed a huge improvement in her behavior. Not long after, our family grew again when we were adopted by Maverick. We immediately enrolled him at Smarty Paws and has had noticeable results. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed the Basic Obedience Classes 1 through 3 and look forward to enrolling in more. I highly recommend Julie and the team at Smarty Paws to anyone looking for effective, compassionate training and real results.

I have nothing but good things to say about this place. I have a border collie and knew that I wanted to make sure she had the training she needed and an outlet to not only learn but use her energy properly. Julie has been her trainer for over a year and she has helped us be a team and work together! She helped me understand her and now my collie is my service dog. One of the best trainers out there. I’m excited for her to help me train my new rescue. The agility class with Madison has helped me train in a positive way and have fun doing a sport that my dog enjoys. It’s challenging for both of us learning but my dog looks forward to going every week.
