Ridgeside K9 Central Florida

Hiring Ridgeside K9 was the absolute best decision. My 3yo pit mix, Charley, went from a reactive mess to an angel thanks to her trainer, Charlie (the name destiny was real). We just had our first outing back home and she was so well-behaved it brought me to tears. She’s back to being my goofy, sweet, little shadow, and I finally have the tools to make sure I don't accidentally "un-train" her. Worth every penny.

We had an excellent experience at Ridgeside K 9! Our trainer, Kendall, was patient, knowledgeable and truly cared about our dog. The training methods were effective and positive. Our dog was even taken to off site, real life locations to practice! We’ve seen improvements in our dog’s behavior in a short amount of time. Highly recommend Kendall and Ridgeside K9 for professional, compassionate dog training!

I interviewed several trainers and training facilities in the Central Florida area. When my google search led me to Ridgeside K9 Central Florida I was initially hesitant because of the distance, but once I connected with Nikki and Jay over the phone I had a very good feeling. Their passion for what they do was obvious during our telephone conversation. When I left the meet and greet a couple days later I knew it was a great fit. We had recently rescued a chihuahua and as sweet as Coco was we knew that we weren’t going to be able to teach her what she needed to learn. Kendall was our trainer and she sent us so many videos of what was being taught and Nikki kept us updated as well. The communication was perfect while our baby was with them. When we picked her up we were so so excited to see all they taught her and then they taught us how to continue with the foundation they created for her. We’ve had Coco home for a week and she walks with such confidence and we are thrilled with the progress they were able to make with her! We have a boarding visit on the calendar for an upcoming trip because Coco was so happy there - it is very much a doggie paradise! We can’t thank Kendall, Nikki and Jay enough for their love they showered our girl with and that she is a new pup with a new confident outlook on life!

I had almost given up hope. I adopted George, my Chi Mix, on 11/19/25. The Humane Society told me that George had come from a 43 dog hoarding situation. George was basically feral. He wasn't potty trained, leash trained or socialized in any way shape or form. I tried 3 different trainers before I found Ridgeside. Jay, one of the owners sat with me in the grass with George in his lap and explained all the things that were going wrong with my little guy. Long story short, they accepted George into their 2-week puppy boarding program. I picked him up yesterday and met with Casey (our personal trainer) for about 3 hours while she trained me. George was a different animal. I stated how calm he seemed and Casey said he was that much more confident. They sent me videos of the process and, I'm about to cry just typing this, but on our first day home, we finally got to go for a walk outside. No stress, just a little cold. I not only highly recommend Ridgeside for any dog owner but especially us who have found ourselves at a loss on what to do with our babies. I will be forever indebted to Ridgeside but they are also my dogs place to stay when I have to go out of town.

I brought Callie Jo for a board & train program at Ridgeside k9 as a last resort due to her behavior . She is an 8 yr old Golden Retriever with adhd tendencies . She was pulling, not listening and would grab treats if someone tried to give her one. The staff at Ridgeside was absolutely wonderful. Taylor was her main trainer. They were kind, yet gentle with her during her stay. I absolutely would recommend them to anyone considering dog training. She is such a much better dog with a much better “dog mother”.
