Ridgeside K9 Central Florida

It was a huge decision to board and train our two year old golden retriever. We missed her terribly but soon determined that it was the best decision ever. Before her time at Ridgeside Molly would pull during walks and make it difficult for us to even consider taking walks on the trails with bikes and runners. Taking her to a pet store was exhausting. She was also very fearful of loud sounds and would pull us back in the house. Since her training Molly goes outside off leash and comes to us when called. She walks beautifully on the trail without pulling and with minimal encouragement when a loud sound occurs. We love that she stretches out on her place cot while we eat dinner without her begging for our food. Everyone at Ridgeside loved on our baby and guided her to be the best dog we could ever imagine. Kendall was amazing and took her on field trips to give her real life experiences and even welcomed her into her home. We would highly recommend Ridgeside!

I cannot say enough, good things about Ridgeside K9!! Taylor did an amazing job with our boy Charlie. He is a very hardheaded and high energy puppy And I was at a loss of how to get his impulses under control Especially with him being so big for his age so fast. I found myself being frustrated with him more than being able to enjoy him. After his four week board And train, The difference is unbelievable. Charlie can now relax and settle himself in the evenings or during the day when I’m working from home which is huge for me. They have an amazing program and truly Treated Charlie like part of their family. Taylor makes sure to check in on us and I’m happy to report that Charlie is doing great and she has been more than happy to help coach me along on with any questions I have. One of the things that stands out is how Taylor took the time to really explain how the dogs think about things and why the training they implement works so well and helps me to understand why and how to reinforce those same things at home. This really sets Charlie and I and our whole family up for success I 100% recommend Ridgeside K9!

I had a really great experience working with K9 Central FL. Charles kept my pup & consistently provided detailed video updates with thorough, easy to understand explanations of what was being worked on & why. Nothing felt rushed or vague & every step of the process was explained clearly & executed with intention. What really stood out was the level of precision and follow through. The training was not about just checking boxes. Each behavior was addressed thoughtfully, with attention to foundation, structure, & consistency. They took the time to understand my specific concerns & made them a clear priority throughout the training process, which was especially important to me after having multiple negative experiences with previous trainers. From both a communication and results standpoint, the difference was noticeable. There was a clear methodology behind the work, & it was evident that decisions were based on experience & a deep understanding of my dogs behavior & not guesses or shortcuts. My dog was handled with confidence, clarity, & care, which made a significant difference in both progress & overall demeanor. If you’re looking for a training environment where your dog is worked with intentionally, where communication is transparent, & where concerns are taken seriously rather than dismissed, this is a place I would recommend. It truly is a night and day difference when you work with professionals who knows what they’re doing and takes pride in doing it correctly. I don’t think things could’ve went any better. I took my 3 month old standard dachshund for their two week puppy training and Casey completely transformed my pup. Now I feel like I I’m living with a dog that will contribute to my families happiness and not stress everyone out! He went in not able to listen to word anyone said, peeing everywhere from excitement and overall just an overstimulated puppy. At pickup Casey was extremely thorough with the things she worked on and specifically focused on as some problems were bigger than others and made sure I fully understood and was comfortable with everything she taught me before bringing him back home so we can continue working with him. Mrs. Nikki was extremely helpful throughout the entire process as I bugged her the entire time he was with them and she never failed to keep me updated, send photos and answer and questions I had! I seen/spoke with Mr. Jay briefly at drop off and he welcomed my pup with open arms and ensured me he would be just fine allowing me to leave without my little guy with peace of mind. Overall great people and a great option for training. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!
