My dog barks at everything. Can training help?
Yes! Excessive barking is often rooted in anxiety, not attitude. Our programs focus on building calm, confident behavior at the root—not just stopping the symptom.
Boarding and Daycare drop-off is from 7–8 AM, and pick-up is from 4–6 PM. These times help us maintain a consistent routine for the dogs in our care.
Our training pickup is scheduled into one of our training session windows so we can take the time to go over everything you need to be successful at home.
Do you offer boarding or daycare without doing training first?
Yes, we offer boarding and daycare for well-mannered dogs. We do not take on dogs who are dangerous at this time. Safety and structure are our top priorities.
Can you provide medication if my dog stays with you?
Of course! We have been professionally taking care of dogs for 17yrs, and have experience in the following:
-Geriatric and hospice care
-Care of disabled dogs
-Oral and topical meds
-Injections
-Restraint holds
-Nutrition
Yes! All interactions are carefully supervised, and new dogs are introduced slowly to the group. Groups are arranged by size, age, temperament, and play style. We only allow socialization with dogs that are a good match in temperament and energy. We do not take on aggressive dogs at this time into our groups.
Yes! We work with the entire family, including the kids. We want everyone to be on the same page, and really work hard to get the young ones involved with responsibility/chores, as well as the fun activities with the dog. They are a part of your family too, after all!
Definitely. Whether your dog pulls, lunges, or gets over-excited on walks, we’ll work on calm leash walking using proven, real-life training strategies around distractions.
We work with reactivity regularly.
Absolutely. We specialize in helping families with young children and dogs create safe, respectful relationships. We even offer training geared toward family routines and transitions like bringing home a new baby.

Yes! During training, you will get real-time footage of our training lessons so you can see your dog's progress.
We regularly post on social media pictures and videos of the dogs we are working with.
We even send cute pictures and videos to the owners while their dogs are staying with us!
How far in advance do I need to book for boarding?
We have very limited space for our daycare and boarding services. We typically book out a few weeks in advance, especially during holidays or summer. Early booking ensures your spot and gives us time to prep for your dog’s stay.
Our Board & Train program includes personalized obedience training, daily structured exercise, socialization with other dogs, and real-world outings in Southern Utah. We focus on behavior transformation, not just commands. You’ll also receive go-home lessons and continued support.

Updated 4/24/2014 Had a day of doggy daycare drop off for our puppy while we had family in town. Our pup Sookie had a blast! She treated her like one of her own dogs. When she got home she was dog-gone tired. Just the way we like it. We will definitely be doing this again! Thanks Heather!

I've been able to go to several of Project K9's pack walks and also a walking/leash training. Heather is great. One of the first things you notice about her is her love of dogs but there's so much more to her than that. She has an incredible knowledge of dog behavior, why they're doing what they're doing and how to correct it. If you want to learn about nutrition, from the best kibbles to going raw, she knows it all. Whatever you and your dog need help with, she knows it all. Obedience, manners, behavior issues, you can't go wrong with Project K9.

I boarded my two pups with Project K9 when I went out of town for my father's funeral. During such a stressful time, it was a relief to know my "furkids" were being taken care of just as I personally would.
We have also participated in a couple of the group "pack walks" and mini-socials. Not only did my pups learn socialization and walking skills, but I personally learned a lot about leadership and how to develop my proper role with them.
I recommend Project K9 to anyone who is looking for assistance with any training and/or boarding needs. I know they will not be disappointed!!

Project K9 was a life saver during the first year of our puppy’s life. We had encountered a lot of difficulty with housebreaking, manners, chewing, etc., with our giant Newfoundland puppy and we were beyond frustrated and didn't know what else to do with him. That is when Project K9 came in to assist us with these issues through a personally tailored training program. Heather was able to handle the special needs of a giant breed dog, and my dog, Griffin, respected her. She gave us the tools and confidence we needed to turn our difficult puppy into a dog we enjoy and is much better behaved.We will continue to use and recommend the services Project K9 offers.
