My dog barks at everything. Can training help?
Yes! Excessive barking is often rooted in anxiety, not attitude. Our programs focus on building calm, confident behavior at the root—not just stopping the symptom.
Boarding and Daycare drop-off is from 7–8 AM, and pick-up is from 4–6 PM. These times help us maintain a consistent routine for the dogs in our care.
Our training pickup is scheduled into one of our training session windows so we can take the time to go over everything you need to be successful at home.
Do you offer boarding or daycare without doing training first?
Yes, we offer boarding and daycare for well-mannered dogs. We do not take on dogs who are dangerous at this time. Safety and structure are our top priorities.
Can you provide medication if my dog stays with you?
Of course! We have been professionally taking care of dogs for 17yrs, and have experience in the following:
-Geriatric and hospice care
-Care of disabled dogs
-Oral and topical meds
-Injections
-Restraint holds
-Nutrition
Yes! All interactions are carefully supervised, and new dogs are introduced slowly to the group. Groups are arranged by size, age, temperament, and play style. We only allow socialization with dogs that are a good match in temperament and energy. We do not take on aggressive dogs at this time into our groups.
Yes! We work with the entire family, including the kids. We want everyone to be on the same page, and really work hard to get the young ones involved with responsibility/chores, as well as the fun activities with the dog. They are a part of your family too, after all!
Definitely. Whether your dog pulls, lunges, or gets over-excited on walks, we’ll work on calm leash walking using proven, real-life training strategies around distractions.
We work with reactivity regularly.
Absolutely. We specialize in helping families with young children and dogs create safe, respectful relationships. We even offer training geared toward family routines and transitions like bringing home a new baby.

Yes! During training, you will get real-time footage of our training lessons so you can see your dog's progress.
We regularly post on social media pictures and videos of the dogs we are working with.
We even send cute pictures and videos to the owners while their dogs are staying with us!
How far in advance do I need to book for boarding?
We have very limited space for our daycare and boarding services. We typically book out a few weeks in advance, especially during holidays or summer. Early booking ensures your spot and gives us time to prep for your dog’s stay.
Our Board & Train program includes personalized obedience training, daily structured exercise, socialization with other dogs, and real-world outings in Southern Utah. We focus on behavior transformation, not just commands. You’ll also receive go-home lessons and continued support.

I grew up with animals my entire life and recently lost the dog that we rescued after 8 years. After tons of looking around at shelters we decided to look for a breed specific dog and decided on a boxer. After a few months we realized that we must have been lucky with our other animals because our little Rex was becoming more than a handful especially with challenging me and puppy mouthing around our son. Heather was able to quickly assess Rex and gave us the training tools we needed to help him become a part of our family. After the first training session, I learned how to become a better pack leader and Rex was quickly learning to respect my role. My husband learned how to be more patient and how to properly train our new puppy. And best of all, even our 5yr old son was able to teach him how to behave and listen. I have been able to attend several of Heather's pack walks and a walking work shop. She is professional and knows what she's talking about. She loves what she does and it shows! She is more than willing to take the time to answer my questions and help in any way that she can. She knows behavior, nutrition and is a great trainer for any problem or just getting off on the right foot.

We took in a 10 month old Pit bull as a foster this summer. I called Heather as I was concerned about having a new dog in my home, and we also had an 8 year old chocolate lab that was selectively aggressive. Aspen was very high energy, but it quickly became clear that she was ready to learn. Heather came to the house for training, and I was very impressed with her leadership style. Over 5 lessons she covered the basics of sit, stay, down, place, distance sit/stay and distractions during sit/stay, and leash work with a haltie. The humans got as much training as Aspen did! She is still high energy, but now it is controlled and we know how to manage it. She is now off leash 90% of the time in the house! I am happy to say our foster dog is now an obedient, polite and respectful Pit Bull, and such a sweetie, that we adopted her!!! Heather also evaluated my “aggressive” lab, and helped me to see that her behavior was due to pain in her hips and leg. Because of her insights, we have been able to get her the help she needs. Thank you Heather!!!

I boarded my dogs with Project K9 for 9 days over Thanksgiving vacation and had a wonderful experience. My dogs received plenty of TLC and time to socialize with the other dogs. I also discovered during that time that my Boxer, who I believed to be dog aggressive, was perfectly non-aggressive during her stay! I found some fun photos of my dogs on Project K9's Facebook page after I came home. I highly recommend Heather for boarding services.
