My dog barks at everything. Can training help?
Yes! Excessive barking is often rooted in anxiety, not attitude. Our programs focus on building calm, confident behavior at the root—not just stopping the symptom.
Boarding and Daycare drop-off is from 7–8 AM, and pick-up is from 4–6 PM. These times help us maintain a consistent routine for the dogs in our care.
Our training pickup is scheduled into one of our training session windows so we can take the time to go over everything you need to be successful at home.
Do you offer boarding or daycare without doing training first?
Yes, we offer boarding and daycare for well-mannered dogs. We do not take on dogs who are dangerous at this time. Safety and structure are our top priorities.
Can you provide medication if my dog stays with you?
Of course! We have been professionally taking care of dogs for 17yrs, and have experience in the following:
-Geriatric and hospice care
-Care of disabled dogs
-Oral and topical meds
-Injections
-Restraint holds
-Nutrition
Yes! All interactions are carefully supervised, and new dogs are introduced slowly to the group. Groups are arranged by size, age, temperament, and play style. We only allow socialization with dogs that are a good match in temperament and energy. We do not take on aggressive dogs at this time into our groups.
Yes! We work with the entire family, including the kids. We want everyone to be on the same page, and really work hard to get the young ones involved with responsibility/chores, as well as the fun activities with the dog. They are a part of your family too, after all!
Definitely. Whether your dog pulls, lunges, or gets over-excited on walks, we’ll work on calm leash walking using proven, real-life training strategies around distractions.

Absolutely. We specialize in helping families with young children and dogs create safe, respectful relationships. We even offer training geared toward family routines and transitions like bringing home a new baby.

Yes! During training, you will get real-time footage of our training lessons so you can see your dog's progress.
We regularly post on social media pictures and videos of the dogs we are working with.
We even send cute pictures and videos to the owners while their dogs are staying with us!
How far in advance do I need to book for boarding?
We have very limited space for our daycare and boarding services. We typically book out a few weeks in advance, especially during holidays or summer. Early booking ensures your spot and gives us time to prep for your dog’s stay.
Our Board & Train program includes personalized obedience training, daily structured exercise, socialization with other dogs, and real-world outings in Southern Utah. We focus on behavior transformation, not just commands. You’ll also receive go-home lessons and continued support.

I can't even tell you how much I love Projectk9! My pup has changed for the better because of their programs. We went to a "Pack Walk"(they host for FREE but of course we love to tip😉) to see what it was about and it took just 5 mins(5 mins max people!!!) for Heather to show/teach us 1 of the huge challenges we had with our dog! We have used the daycare and have had some 1 on 1 training sessions with the ecollar... The day after each session our pup picks-up on her training so quickly because of all the guidance and advice from Projectk9! So happy we found them and are definately committed for life! Heather did an excellent job and she is also great for boarding.

Heather was fantastic with our Great Dane. She has given us tools to work with our dog. She is much calmer and more well-behaved. Heather is always quick to get back to me if I have any questions or concerns as we continue to help our dog learn and behave. I would recommend her to anyone!

I found Project K9 by checking out a pack walk awhile back and I'm so glad I did! I was having a really hard time controlling my big dog and Heather spent a lot of time talking with me and patiently helping me. I knew we had a lot of issues to work through and finally decided to go with her 4 week board and train program. It was exactly the reset button I needed for my dog! He has finally learned to manage his excitability and remain in a calm state of mind, and we can actually enjoy him again in our home. He is walking nicely on a leash, not pulling us down the sidewalk, and doesn't bust through the house knocking everything over in his path. He also used to have a very difficult time with people stopping by the house and he would have to be locked in a crate the whole time we had visitors but he would be barking the whole time. It was so embarrassing and stressful for us all, and a real problem. Since he's been back with us, I'm amazed at how well he handles visitors - even workers with noisy equipment - and stays nicely in his designated place, with no barking, and no pushing into people's space begging for attention. It is so nice to feel like he is not only a lot better behaved but also much happier too, being able to stay calm and peaceful. I love Heather's approach of bringing into balance all aspects of the dog's life, and I'm confident he was very well taken care of during his time with her. I also know that if I have questions or concerns I can contact her anytime! Project K9 was a lifesaver!
