Proactive Dog Training, LLC

Our 5 month old lab/shepherd mix just finished the 2 week board and train with Proactive. Our once uncontrollable dog now stays when we tell her, no longer jumps on my children, and can be off leash without concern. We now feel comfortable taking her places and less stressed when she is out of her cage. During the board and train we got constant updates and were able to accompany the training sessions for more hands on experience. We looked into several dog training facilities in the area and nothing has compared to Proactive. It is worth every penny!

Our beautiful Portuguese Water Dog named Shadow just graduated from the Proactive Dog Training - Off Leash Program and the results are amazing. Shadow is so much calmer and aware of his surroundings in a way that no longer sends him over the edge excited when he sees a car, another dog or animal, people, etc. He is an absolute pleasure to take on a walk (no pulling at all!) or simply enjoy outside on or off leash. His recall and obedience to commands (when needed for his safety) is excellent. He used to want to chat chase cars (bad) and people (say hello) but now he will watch them and if given permission to say hello do so enthusiastically. Enough about Shadow however, it is just too easy to carry on about the results of his training with Proactive. We are so thankful that we found Proactive during our search and I hope if you are reading this that you will consider them at the top of your list too. You won't regret it. From the Youtube videos they posted (often) to the Proofing sessions with their AMAZING trainers you are going to enjoy the training process as much as your dog. I highly recommend that you do the proofing sessions. They are more for training you than your beloved pet. It is very important that you share the training journey as much as you can support. We never saw any other dog owners at the proofing sessions (daily if you like) and I couldn't help to think what a disadvantage to the pet to go home to parents that have no idea how to navigate the commands nor their pets responses in way that reinforces the training in the loving way the Proactive trainers do. We are a family of 5 and we all went to the numerous proofing sessions. As a result, Shadow has been back home for 4 weeks now and it couldn't be going any better. I say this even though our last Portuguese was also trained for off leash activities so our family wasn't new to it. I highly recommend Proactive Dog Training and if we happen to ever bring home another fur baby I will be calling on them again. A++ 10/10.

Our experience with Proactive Dog Training was nothing short of amazing! Our dog Jaeger had some issues with nervousness, especially in public and around strangers, as well as leash reactivity. He just returned from a 3 week stay with Proactive Dog Training and it's like we have a whole new dog. Not only did we get a well-behaved and more confident dog but they also equipped us with the tools and ongoing support necessary for continued training success. Javier and his incredible team made sure our dog felt comfortable from the moment he arrived. Jaeger quickly formed strong bonds with all of them, which is quite remarkable considering his usual hesitation around strangers. The daily YouTube videos were a great touch and allowed us to track his progress. It was a huge relief to see our pup so happy and well cared for. Another standout feature was the option for owners to participate in public training sessions. We got firsthand insight into the training process and could practice and reinforce his new skills. The positive impact on his behavior was evident, and we appreciated the transparency and inclusivity of the training approach. We wholeheartedly recommend Proactive Dog Training for their exceptional results and genuine love for the dogs they care for. We will definitely use them again for future boarding, daycare needs, or behavioral concerns. Highly recommend them and so happy to have found them!

Our Gus just came home from a week of board and train with Proactive Dog Training. Gus is an older dog who needed some help polishing up his manners and his people needed some training, too. Gus obviously loved his time there as evidenced by all the YouTube videos that were posted. Jess not only brought Gus home to us but gave us a great training session on how to keep those manners consistent. I would absolutely recommend.
