FirstBarkJess is going an incredible job training Belvedere. He was dog reactive due to being attacked as a puppy and she had him cool as a cucumber around other dogs. Extremely pleased!!!

About Proactive Dog Training, LLC
We are a dog training facility that also boards in order to maintain the high level of reliability we expect. Our board and train program allows us to teach the dogs what is expected of them and then we test them in public to make sure they behave everywhere and with different handlers. This makes the transfer to the owners smoother. We love sharing videos and having owners join us on the proofing stage of the dogs (during public outings) that way you can be part of the process. We then teach you how to maintain what your dog learned and offer continuing education.

We cannot speak highly enough of all of the trainers at Proactive Dog Training!! Our dog Quinn recently completed the 3 week ultimate dog program and the change we see in her is incredible. She learned so much and so did we! We are so grateful to have the option to bring her back when out of town.

Javier was recommended to me when I was discussing some behavior issues with our Cavalier King Charles and I was seeing no progress from other obedience classes I was attending. After reaching out, we started with in home training. We saw progress, but ultimately enrolled our pup in a three week live-in training/boarding arrangement while we travelled this summer. I can’t believe the results! I’ve seen the TV show ‘the dog whisperer’ of course - so I knew it was possible, but today when I say ‘place’ when the doorbell rings, our pup runs to place and stays until I’m done. I have tactics to deal with the annoying barking out the window. Oh - and the bad walk behavior and his tendency to lose his mind with other dogs is SIGNIFICANTLY better and it’s like he’s learned how to manage his anxiety. It’s still not a stroll in the park, but the results are better than I imagined possible. I recommend Javier and his team to anyone who asks and have thanked the original person who recommended him every time I see her! 6 stars! If in doubt - take my word - it’s worth seeking help with annoying dogs from this company!!!
We contacted Javier with Proactive Dog Training after having an incident at home between our two male dogs. Javier and the team quickly set us up for the three-week board and train program. Our Golden Retriever, Jett, is now confident and obedient! I highly recommend Javier and his team. Everyone we interacted with was kind; they genuinely cared about animals. Also, communication is top-notch!
