Pawsonal Training

Alesha and Shannon are top-notch trainers. Shannon targeted exactly what I needed to work on with my dog to earn both CGC and therapy certification. She was very intuitive and specific in what I needed to improve. Then Alesha brought us there! Alesha’s targeted feedback and correction, and helping me practice, practice, practice in the correct way helped me gain important confidence and joy. Most importantly, Alesha helped me to strength the relationship with my dog. At test day, they coordinated with several people to create conditions I would face in therapy. I would give them 10 stars on a 5 point scale!!

We took our 10 month old to Pawsonal Training for help with reactivity, recall, and general house manners. We loved how often she sent us updates explaining the different things they were working on. I have so many videos now that I can look back on for guidance as we continue the training at home. When we went to pick him up she took the time to demonstrate everything and have us try it out and answered any and all questions until we were comfortable and confident to take him home. We highly recommend her!

We enrolled Blue, a human and dog reactive male Aussie, in the 4-week reactivity program and could not be more impressed with the results! He has always been wary of strangers but had gotten more reactive, always barking and lunging for anyone who got too close, including children. He was also reactive to cars, bikes, skateboards, etc., and is not a fan of other dogs that get too close. By the time we picked him up, he was walking past people at Home Depot, holding a down as people passed, and was no longer reacting to large cars that passed by. We appreciate Shannon's training to help calm him down around stressors and teach him that if something is scary, we have his back. The 3 day a week updates were very helpful and I knew everything we needed to by the day of pickup. Shannon took great care of building a bond with Blue and he was sad to leave her when we picked him up!

We put our 8-month-old Portuguese Water Dog in a month long training with Shannon, the Pawsonal Trainer. She was amazing. Very professional and so easy to communicate with. She will send loads of videos a few times each week to keep you updated and help train you while she is training your dog. As for our dog, it was a night and day difference, and she’ll be totally off leash as soon as we get comfortable ourselves with the commands in high congestion areas.

We sent our 6-month old black lab puppy to the 2-week Basic Obedience Board &Train program. We had set some good foundations for her already, but we were struggling with her intense distraction on walks (lots of pulling and lunging), and her focus in the home. She has come back with so many wonderful new habits, habits that Shannon taught us how to reinforce through the collar system. She is heeling on command during walks, and has learned perhaps the most useful thing that we could not achieve on our own prior to training: the place command. She will now to go her bed in the house on command. We actually think she likes having this job! Being told to sit there and chill out actually seems to calm her down, and keeps her from getting into mischief. None of this would have been possible on our own. The training, the lessons sent home during the 2 weeks, and the 2.5 hour Shannon spent with us when our pup returned have been priceless.
