I actually can’t think of the right words for how grateful I am for Shannon and the magic she worked for my Agate man. He’s a mommas boy, only wants to listen to me. And that’s great for me, not for my girlfriend. So we sent gator back to Shannon for a board and train 2 week session so he could learn to listen to others. The whole time he was there, Shannon sent updates and pictures. To top it off, he spent his birthday there, and Shannon went out of her way to get him goodies so he could have a special day! The love the has for these dogs is unmatched! How to touch on the actual training part, my boy is a whole new boy. He seems so much more at peace since being trained. He doesn’t pull on the leash, he listens better to me AND listens so much more for my girlfriend!!! I’m so so proud. I would recommend 100000X over and over! Best training experience and my boy LOVES her!

Shannon did a phenomenal job with our two girls, Stella and Ruby. We loved that her programs are never "one size fits all." She treats each dog as an individual and trains them at their own pace, focusing on their individual needs. Not only did she target areas that we were concerned about for Stella and Ruby, she also explained what was driving their behavior in the update videos she sent to us. We had an amazing experience with pawsonal training! Our 8 month puppy Oko did the 2 week program. He learned basic manners (come, sit, stay, place, off, and heel). An e-collar system was used for his training, which makes most poeple hesitant, but Shannon did an great job explaining how the collar works and we realized we had nothing to worry about. This collar does not "shock" your dog, just a muscle twitch, like a tap on the shoulder. She explained everything about the collar and training with open honesty, and answered any questions we had. Shannon made this such an easy and stress-free experience for us and we are so grateful for how wonderful she is and the help she was able to provide for our puppy! Your dog is in great hands!

We stumbled upon Pawsonal Training after seeing a few testimonials on social media and we knew we needed support for the reactivity of our Covid pup, Luna. Luna is sweet but territorial and would react to other dogs in the neighborhood and was fearful of men/strangers she didn't know. She needed confidence and to control some of her impulses. Shannon worked her magic with Luna! Her communication and tutorials on the progress they were making each week were amazing and important to Luna's continued success at home. Shannon is an expert in dog behaviors, and I especially valued her knowledge of various breeds and why dogs may act the way they do. Based on the success with Luna, we were excited to have Shannon train our puppy, Oliver. Oliver also need confidence, basic obedience, and learning manners with Luna. Not only did Shannon dedicate time with Oliver, but she recognized the necessity to train them both together to ensure success in our home. I am so grateful to Shannon and her training and the difference it has made in both of our dogs behaviors and a more peaceful household. If you’re on the fence about training (especially board and train) I hope our story helps you make the leap! Trusting Shannon with my dog (who is basically my baby) is the best decision I have ever made for us. I got Viva as a puppy in March of 2020, one week before the first COVID lockdown. I’m a teacher and was looking forward to having the whole summer to train and take puppy classes with Viva. We were off to a great start with basic training and in the fall I was teaching virtually from home so we had all the 1:1 time in the world, but opportunities to socialize and training classes had basically disappeared. We took lots of walks, spent time in dog-friendly stores when possible, started doing some separation training, and things were going well! When it was time for me to go back to work in-person, we both had some (understandable) separation anxiety. Anxious barking+apartment living led to enrolling her in doggy daycare, which she loved, but I noticed her reactivity towards other dogs starting to increase when we were out and about. By the time she was 2 we were able to stop daycare but her reactivity continued to increase. Leaving the house with her had become so incredibly stressful- she would bark and pull at any living thing and seemed so afraid of the world. Viva is such a sweet girl I could tell that she wanted to be good but I didn’t know how to help her and felt so guilty that I was failing her. I started doing lots of research into training classes and programs. I sat on all this info for a long time and was having a really hard time making a decision when I stumbled on Pawsonal Training. Boarding was scary to me (and expensive!) and I wanted to make sure I was making the best decision for both of us. I did extensive research, watched every single video on their Instagram account, and reached out to Shannon to explain our situation. She immediately put me at ease and I knew I had found the right person to trust my girl with. Truly my only regret is that I didn’t find her sooner! Sending Viva to “school” for three weeks felt like the hardest thing I’ve ever done but Shannon sent extensive texts, pictures, and videos to keep me posted and at ease the entire time. I was worried about not being able to support Viva’s training when she came home but Shannon was willing to train me as much as she trained Viva! Her messages were extremely informative but also included pictures and videos of her just playing and hanging out (which made me feel amazing knowing that she was having so much fun)! Shannon’s knowledge, expertise, and understanding is absolutely unmatched. She has amazing instincts and took the time and care to really get to know Viva and personalize our training. Watching her progress and learning about her training over the three weeks made me so excited for her to come home! At turnover, she worked outside with us for nearly two hours, helping Viva show off everything she learned and calmly coaching me through real-time practice with dogs in our neighborhood. She provided all the support I would need to implement her training at home with ideas that are specific and realistic for our life. Viva has been home for a week now and I am so impressed by my girl! Of course she’s had some reactions back home after months of building those habits, but Shannon gave me all the tools I need to calmly and confidently reinforce her training and help her remember everything she knows. We’ve been enjoying such amazing, calm walks and I can’t even put into words how significantly our lives have improved. We’re both happier and way less-stressed overall! It feels like the whole world has opened back up to us and I am so grateful to Shannon and Pawsonal Training for giving us our lives back. We already have a refresh week on the books and I can’t wait to see her learn and grow even more!
