Pawsonal Training

We had such a great experience using Pawsonal Training for our 11 month old puppy George. He was enrolled in the two week board and train program to work on his issues with recall, basic manners, and confidence. He has been home for a few days and we have already noticed such positive changes in his behavior. He truly listens to us and has had so many improvements in behaviors that we were unable to correct ourselves. There was a bit of a learning curve with using his e-collar, but after a day or two of practice we feel much more confident using it. We are also able to reference back to the many instructional videos Shannon provided throughout his training which have been great resources! While he was away for the two weeks, Shannon provided so many updates, videos and photos that grew our confidence in his progress. Shannon is so patient not only with our pup, but also with us answering all our questions and providing instructions and feedback at drop-off. We can’t wait to continue implementing all he learned to continue to grow his positive behaviors and good choices. We would absolutely recommend anyone looking for a board and train program to Shannon at Pawsonal Training as George’s progress is even better than we could have imagined!

We sent our (then) 7.5 month old Golden Retriever puppy to Shannon for the 2 week training program. I have to admit that I'm usually skeptical about anything that sounds "too good to be true" - even after watching tons of videos and reading through every review I could find - but we weren't capable of effectively training our puppy on our own and he was just getting increasingly bigger and harder to handle as time went on, so we decided we would give this a try.. ..and I am SO happy we did! We had such a great, positive experience with Shannon. When we sent our pup to Shannon, his major issues were 1) pulling while on the leash, which was becoming too much for me to control and 2) getting too excited and jumping all over anyone new. Combine those two issues together and taking him anywhere was something to dread, and we didn't want it to be that way. Now, after just two weeks of training with Shannon, our boy is a joy to take on walks and we are all happier because of this training. He is no longer jumping all over people or pulling while he walks on the leash. He is still the same happy go lucky, excitable puppy, but now he has manners and we know it will only continually get better from here! In addition to the training, Shannon went above and beyond by answering all of our questions, taking amazing care of our pup, and sending us video + email updates daily. His safety was always her number one priority. We had never left our puppy anywhere else before, so we were a little anxious about how he would do, but after seeing how well he and Shannon hit it off and mutually loved each other, our anxieties were completely gone. We would trust Shannon with our boy any time, because she treated him just like he was her own and that meant so much to us. If you're reading this review and you're on the fence about sending your dog for training, I highly encourage you to sign your dog up. You literally have nothing to lose, but a better behaved dog and a less stressful life to gain. In addition to training 4+ years ago, we often send our boy to Shannon for boarding when we'll be out of town for extended periods of time and can't take him with us. Shannon is the best!

Shannon is an incredible dog trainer! We have two Shiba Inus, a breed known for being pretty stubborn and mischievous. Our puppy Apollo in particular was just not responding to our training... but after a few weeks of training with Shannon, he's like a different dog! He now listens and responds to commands, and we no longer have to worry about him bolting out the door or jumping on guests. Thank you, Shannon!

We did the 2 week basic obedience course with Tobie and highly recommend Pawsonal Training. His recall for commands and impulse control are so much better and he is still the same happy boy with a better understanding of limitations and expectations at home and in public. It is clear that Shannon has a passion for what she does. She educates us as pet owners throughout the training process with updates to make the turnover at the end of training much easier. It was a great experience overall and we wouldnt hesitate to go back for our future training and boarding needs.

Working with Shannon at Pawsonal training was an awesome experience! Raising two herding dogs with big personalities was a large bill! Through the last six months we had a lot of changes in our homes that left me feeling like the regression was a lost cause! Shannon took my girls and helped me iron out a new home life for us all. With her updates, immediate communication, and extra pictures of lovins, it really made me feel like my girls were in good hands. Most importantly- Shannon has spent a lot of time training me. She’s happy to deal with all of my questions and throughly has walked me through each step of the process. Even after I’ve gotten the girls back, Shannon has been happy to help me each day with any questions that have came up! Shannon, thank you for what you do!!!
