I took Susan's "Shy to Confident" dog class because my 7 month old puppy was very shy around people and hated being touched. I found the class really helpful. I learned that I need to be his advocate, how to spot the signs that he is nervous and past his thresh hold, and then some games that can help him with some of his fearfulness. Also, a general takeaway was some of the shyness is just part of his personality and nothing is wrong with that. He's been this way since 10 weeks. I decided to continue on to puppy middle school with Susan. My trainer at Petco didn't understand how to interact with a shy dog very well and I really liked Susan's relationship with him. He's now 10 months and in the past when he came across bizarre things he was afraid of I would be "okay let's go" and just move on. Now, after the class, I learned to give him a chance to investigate (it is a little hard not to laugh though) and give him treats for being brave (see video). Also, he seems to be getting more and more comfortable with saying hi to people. He still occasionally barks and gets nervous. I highly recommend Paws4Training, I think it's a good price and Susan really seems to understand dog behavior.

LOL ABSOLUTELY NO THANKS !! You still never answered my initial question of why I called in the first place which was for prices for training. Actually you didn't answer anything else you just went on a roll lol. Every time you respond to try to discredit my review it will only prove exactly why I hung up my phone and decided to not go any further. I will repost again. I don't need a sarcastically response from you either. Just accept the fact you're rude and your tone of deliverance was trash.
Susan has now helped us with two dogs almost 16 years apart! She’s deeply knowledgeable, patient and fantastic with dogs. She knows her stuff and is a great resource. Thanks for helping with ziggy and now Josie!
