Specializing in obedience training, leash training, puppy training, crate training, reactivity, impulse control, and off leash reliability for dogs of all ages and backgrounds. Unlike large facilities, your dog trains in a real home environment with hands on daily work and never spends time in a kennel. How long does it take to train a dog or puppy?
It depends on the dog or puppy's age, breed, and the behavior being trained. Basic obedience can take a few weeks to a few months, while advanced behavioral issues and engrained bad habits can take longer. It is also very important that the owners follow through with the strategies learned during the training sessions. If bad behaviors get to continue in the trainer's absence, training will take longer.

Private dog or puppy training sessions are $120/hour. There are discounts for purchasing 3 or 6 lesson packages. The amount of sessions needed will vary depending on the dog's specific issues that need to be resolved and the amount of follow through from the owner outside of lessons.

Absolutely! Older dogs can certainly learn new behaviors. It may take longer than with puppies due to the length of time the bad habits have been part of the dog's daily routine. With consistency and patience however, dogs of any age can be taught proper manners!

Rachel is absolutely phenomenal! About a month we got a puppy and had no idea what were getting ourselves into. From the extreme biting, to several potty accidents in the house. We reached out to Rachel because we didn’t know how to appropriately train our buddy! We decided to immediately do a board and train with Rachel, where Benny was with Rachel for two weeks and learning fundamental skills such as how to potty outside, crate training, and how to control his impulsive, and basic obedience. Im telling you that Benny came home and is fully going potty OUTSIDE, is listening to basic commends, is so regulated and calm, and just such overall good pup. My hats off to Rachel and her fantastic work! I refer her to anyone that needs support with their animals!

We loved working with Rachael! We did her group puppy class for our 6 month old mini poodle. It gave our pup more confidence and it gave US more confidence I her training. We would recommend Rachael to anyone looking for a trainer in the North Valley!

She helped us so much with puppy training, especially teaching us how to stop our dog from jumping on guests when they come into our home. After each of the three sessions, we saw noticeable improvement, which was incredibly encouraging. Rachel explained everything clearly and showed us techniques we could confidently continue on our own. The key is being consistent and keeping up with the training, and she really set us up for success. I highly recommend her!

Working with Rachael was exactly what I needed to start walking my large dog again. She gave me all the tools I needed to regain control and confidence. I’m also working on “place” so guests can come into my home without a dog in their face. In only 3 lessons, Cooper has made so much progress! We are very happy!

So very grateful to have found Rachael through the recommendation of Paw Posse Dog Rescue, Traci Cook. In just two sessions, we learned so much on how to be better dog parents to our puppy and Lucy took to the training like a duck to water!
