Operation Good Dog

I adopted a new cavapoo puppy, Gracie, in June and knew I wanted to work with an experienced and knowledgeable trainer from the beginning. Operation Good Dog was the perfect fit for both puppy training and Basic Obedience training. Luke is organized, professional and always came with a plan for our training session. He also listened to the challenges I was experiencing and made adjustments to our session as needed to address new questions and concerns. He has helped me better understand the WHY behind what I do to communicate what I need with Gracie. I am so grateful for the success Gracie and I have experienced and look forward to more training with Operation Good Dog.

I’ve had only two sessions with Luke, but they’ve been great. He is punctual, friendly, patient, flexible, astute, and my dog loves him. He explains his approach to training well and provides a nice mix of showing you how he does it and then having you practice with him. Also, I cannot say enough about the numerous and very helpful handouts and video clips he provides to assist with training along the way. They are a gold mine. I have a long way to go with my rambunctious pooch, especially with regard to leash training, but I feel like I have the tools to get there. Luke’s training sessions were well worth the cost and I whole-heartedly recommend him.

I highly recommend Luke with Operation Good Dog! Luke did training with me and my two dogs who have different training needs, and Luke was able to make plans for each of them. Luke worked great with the dogs and explained everything so it made sense. Not just what actions to take for training, but why the training works and what is going on with the dog. After every session, there was a follow up with everything we covered electronically so I could go back to anything I forgot while training between sessions.

Luke really understands dogs and how they learn. Our dogs responded immediately to him and he helped us see how to motivate our new 5 year old rescue dog and appropriately modify his worrisome behavior. He provided plenty of helpful information and videos online so we could build on his in-person sessions. We have seen a lot of improvement in our dogs and are happy to recommend Operation Good Dog.
