Off Leash K9 Training

We have used Jacqueline Z. for two German Shepherds. Without her expert training, there was no way we were going to be able to keep our first dog. She was a rescue from Virginia German Shepherd Rescue Association and although a beautiful, healthy, wonderful dog, she had bounced between homes before we got her due to her “high energy.” We learned that she had been kept in a crate for much of the first year of her life and had not been socialized. She was skittish and very alert, prone to fear aggression. We did our best to give her a safe, nurturing home. She responded well, but we still did not have full control of her, which is something my wife and I deem essential with such a large, capable dog. If our dog was in an uncertain, or threatening situation, she reacted with ferocity. Twice she nipped strangers who approached her suddenly and against our requests to please stay back. Luckily, there were no serious injuries, but we knew it was a matter of time until someone sued us into bankruptcy. We tried several trainers, but none were able to address the small but serious problem areas. We didn’t know what to do and were facing the likelihood of having to adopt her out to a farm or some other place that wouldn’t have to worry about her biting aggressors. We would have been heartbroken. One day, we were walking our dog in a nearby park and I was letting her pull me on a skateboard to “run off some of her energy.” From a distance, we saw Jacqueline walking with a beautiful Malinois at her side, in perfect lockstep and obedience - OFF LEASH. We immediately got her info and described our predicament: great dog, needs to be in better control. She quietly took our information and said she’d contact us. When she did, I spoke with her at length about our dog and what we wanted to achieve. She assessed our dog and after careful consideration and evaluation, said it was doable and agreed to take us on. Our dog had to go away to boarding with Jacqueline for intensive training. After a month, she asked to keep her two more weeks, just to make sure our dog had fully absorbed the training. When we were finally able to meet and pick her up (and be “trained” as an owner to properly communicate and control our dog), we were astonished at the transformation. Our dog was the same, lovable and over the moon to see us, but also restrained and disciplined, refusing to give in to impulse until Jacqueline gave the command, freeing her to do so. We couldn’t believe how IMPRESSIVE our dog’s behavior was now. We received constant comments in public about how well behaved she was. Several neighbors on our block (who had apparently been scared of our dog before) went out of their way to tell us how amazing the training was and that they couldn’t believe how well behaved our dog was. Those with their own dogs have all asked us for Jacqueline’s information. Jacqueline’s expertise and care allowed our dog to have a much more fulfilled and happy life with more freedom and adventure than she could have ever been allowed before the training. So of course, after she died and we sought a new dog, we coordinated with Jacqueline. She guided us toward finding a responsible breeder, and afterwards, took on the training of our new dog. The results are the same: a spectacularly well trained dog that is the shining example in public. Jacqueline is always available to answer questions and help you brush up on keeping your dog on point. She is very frank (something we appreciate) and will tell it to you straight. She’s high energy and thorough; you can be sure that she will do her full job training your dog. She is unparalleled in her professional expertise does her job exceedingly well. If you want your dog to have world class training with real, demonstrable results, then we cannot recommend Jacqueline Z. enthusiastically enough. John & Jen K.

Patient, intuitive, effective, and endearing are only a few of the words to describe Jacqueline and her training. I left my little golden doodle with her for just under 3 weeks and when I reunited with my little lady I had an obedient and well mannered pup. Jacq's method of training is super effective and at the same time you can see the care and love she has for these dogs. Shes a true Master. I now am able to bring my 7 month old pup to work with me, long car rides, and all my day to day errands because she understands the commands tought by Jacq. HIGHLY RECOMMEND her training- you wont be dissapointed, only amazed at how quick your dog can become a well behaved member of your family.

They were unable to train my Shepard. As well as unable to refer me to ANYONE that could help me. I reached out with a heartfelt wreck of a conscience thinking how I was ever gonna be able to handle my godson's German Shepard. My Shepard can be unruly..however the owner of the training facility claimed she was going to have surgery and a long recovery. But still how are you that successful and vain that u can't refer me to someone that could be able to help. Isn't the dog's mental health in anyone's best interest besides mine?

Jaqueline was amazing with my 7 1/2 year old dog Penny.. who is a shy… nervous dog… who had lived in a shelter for 4 years before I adopted her. I had previously tried two other dog trainers and wondered if my dog was too hard to train or if I had just not found the right trainers previously. Now that penny spent a few weeks at a board and train with Jackie I know she is very trainable and she gave her the confidence she needs to succeed and live her glory days as the best of days. I wish I would have found Jackie sooner !! Whenever I am able to get another dog the dog will absolutely be going to Jackie for training !! She is the best of the best!! Would recommend her to anyone !!
