Off Leash K9 - Raleigh Durham

Sadly, not the best experience. It's been a year since my dog was in training, and there are still issues with excitement on leash with other dogs and humans. The entire experience was mediocre at best, starting with the trainer who would only touch base intermittently when she had my dog. (Was supposed to be in contact daily, with updates and pictures) The two hour hand-off is a lot of information to take in if you have never used an e-collar before. Not to worry, your trainer will touch base with you in 2 weeks to assess progress, etc-not so much. I never heard from my trainer again, even after reaching out via text. The owners were kind enough to do refresher lessons with me, but it was clearly me and not my dog. (Fine, I am not a dog trainer-and I needed help, that's why I called.) Nothing was ever resolved. My dog is still as trained as he was a year ago. I am not a "reviewer" type of person but I thought this should be said. I want small businesses to succeed. If you promise something-deliver on it, as in life-time training. It's a lot of money for families to spend training their dog. They want to partner with a company who actually cares and wants to see their dog actually walk off leash, as the company name suggest. (And perhaps learn to listen when a customer is trying to kindly share their experience with their trainer instead of interrupting and defending. The lack of listening to my issues was one of the biggest problems. If you can't listen, you can't problem solve. Oh, and maybe don't tell me it's my fault I chose a lab who is high energy.) The collar works great, perhaps that was worth the money!?

My wife and I are retired couple and golden-doodle Otis arrived as wonderful Christmas gift from our children & grandchildren. We were determined to have a better-behaved dog than our previous canine companions spanning decades. We purchased the In Home basic obedience 4-lesson package. Diana Hauser and the Off Leash training tools were absolutely an answer to our hopes. In our case, it was as much 'handler training' as Otis training. For dog-lovers, we all know the reasons why we welcome them into our lives despite the added duties and challenges...being worth every penny, Diana and K9 training gave us an obedient, happy Otis while minimizing the nuisance of bad behaviors.

I can’t even begin to describe how life-changing the board-and-train program was for me and my 1-year-old Boston Terrier, Rudy. Our trainer, Kaleigh, was PHENOMENAL!! When I brought Rudy in, he was terrible on a leash, would jump all over people and try to lick their faces, and couldn’t sit still if his life depended on it. He also had some aggression with other dogs. After the two-week program, it is now such a joy to walk Rudy. He is much much calmer around people and is now the perfect dog to being to coffee shops, breweries, restaurants, trails, dog parks, etc. He immediately comes when called, can “place” anywhere I want him to and stay there until called. I cannot recommend this program enough!!

We had an incredible experience with our trainer Brittany. We had never done training like this before and was a little hesitant due to the unknown. Let me tell you this was worth every penny. Brittany was not only very nice, honest and straight forward with us. The day we dropped him off, she made sure we had updates continuously thru each day including the day of drop off. I can’t express how that impressed us along with her commitment to the job. Brittany was very detail with instructions on what she was doing and sent videos to show the progress. Our boy is in a new frame of mind and it has been a very smooth and nice transition since he came home. The main thing is having the tools we need to continue his training and for us to be as consistent as she was with him. If you’re hesitant, but want an excellent trainer with impeccable knowledge and advice, you should give Brittany ring.
