North Star Family K-9

I originally scheduled time with another company to do private training, but when the trainer didn't show up for our appt I decided to looked at K9SF. Sam reached out and scheduled an hour long consultation to really gather info about my dog and her needs. He recommended a 2 week board and train and I also purchased 2 follow up in home training sessions. I immediately received calendar invites as well as text and email reminders prior to every appt. Sam was awesome! For the two weeks my girl Mae was in his care, I got daily in depth emails on her training and progress, along with a few photos. The follow up sessions were great too as it help to focus on things she still needed work on, as well as help me learn what I was doing wrong. Can't recommend Sam or K9SF enough!

We have a 2 year old black lab named Paul who is incredibly excitable and is always living his best life - at all times. We met many with times Sarah and Milo to go over all different types of training scenarios to help us learn how to handle Paul's excitability. We worked on leash pulling, 'leave it' commands, food aggression, greeting other humans (and dogs), etc. Sarah and Milo are incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and professional, and we'd recommend their team to anyone in need of dog training. We learned so much, and owe a lot of Paul's development (as well as our own development from a dog owner standpoint) to them. They are also very reachable and available, responding to all questions we had and giving us good suggestions and recommendations. We'll gladly train with them again, and we very well may do so again in the future!

We have worked with Milo with two pups--one with serious emotional and behavioral issues (aggression), and one who's easy-breezy and a tender heart. Milo is a consummate professional, and he has treated both our pups with affectionate respect while training. During your time with him, you will see immediate results on small steps. We so look forward to our next visit, as we'll be working the commands Mischief learned today all week! If you are considering a trainer, know that anyone can hang up a sign and say they're a trainer. Milo really is one, and he's worth the wait and the cost.

We brought our 1 year old German Shephard/Husky mix to K9SF after we were struggling with some behavioral issues such as listening to commands, leash pulling, jumping on people, etc. We did a 6 week package and got to work with Milo. Milo did an amazing job working with us and answering any questions we had during training. Our dog Afton loved working with Milo, and the results were AMAZING. Afton is such a well behaved puppy now, and we will definitely work with Milo again if we need to brush up on some training!
