At my last straw with my reactive and fear aggressive pitty - I found K9SF and I’m eternally grateful. I signed her up for the 2 week board and train with Sarah and was so pleased with the communication and updates on her. She treated me with such kindness and patience and answered every little question I had. Sarah worked actual magic on my girl - giving her the structure and confidence building in order to stay focused around dogs on walks, check in with her handler and stay calm around strangers and she even made it to the Stanley’s Pawtio! The foundation that Sarah gave to me and my dog was %10000 worth it. I could not recommend Sarah and K9SF enough!

We had a great experience with K9SF and specifically Milo. We had been to other trainers for Gary, our one year old German shepherd / lab mix, and were struggling to harness his energy. With Milo we saw results almost instantly as we started trainings. He was flexible to our schedule and needs, responsive, and most importantly very knowledgeable. Nothing made Gary more excited then going to see Milo - which Milo helped train him on a proper greeting. We learned a lot of great tools from Milo in order to get the desired behaviors from a dog that means well but very much lacks focus. Very grateful we were able to get help to make many activities enjoyable for both us and Gary.

My husband reached out to North Star Family K-9 shortly after we adopted our Great Dane, Kaia. We were looking into professional training mostly for safety reasons because she is over 100lbs. Right away we could tell how passionate they are about dogs and proper training. Hank and Nicole definitely go above and beyond what I was expecting and though we aren’t done with our training we’ve already seen significant improvement in behaviors. We also decided to bring home a new puppy recently and Hank was so helpful discussing the pros and cons and making sure we found a good fit for Kaia because of what she experienced in her life before she found us and being willing to make time in their schedule for Luna without hesitation. More than anything we appreciate the education they give us about dog behaviors and psychology, meeting us and our dogs where they are at and the passion that both Hank and Nicole have and bring to the table. I recently had the pleasure of boarding my dog, King, with North Star Family K-9, and I couldn't be happier with the results. Prior to the training, my large labradoodle had behavioral issues that made it challenging to handle him in social situations. He would growl at guests and act as if he wanted to attack them, making it nearly impossible for me to take him for a walk outside of our fenced yard. One of the challenges I faced was grooming. I had never been able to take King to get a haircut due to his behavior, which led to the stressful necessity of sedating him at the vet every time he needed grooming. For the first time, King can go to the groomer without the need for vet sedation, avoiding the previously stressful and difficult process of having to put him to sleep just for a haircut. Thanks to the expertise of North Star Family K-9, my dog has undergone a life-changing journey. I now feel confident walking him, as he stays next to me and follows my lead. In public settings, he remains calm and composed, no longer displaying signs of aggression towards others. Having guests over is now a pleasant experience, as King relaxes and listens without any issues. I highly recommend North Star Family K-9 to anyone seeking exceptional training for their dogs. Their training truly works wonders, and the positive changes in King are a reflection of their expertise and commitment.
