Mountain State K9 Academy

We sent our dog Nahla to them for some needed training.At first we thought it was a great idea to help her.She went for 4 weeks and in between all visits we were shown that she could walk beside us on a choke collar and that she could climb onto a cot which I guess was ok.Once we got her home we could not make her listen no matter what method we used even the shock collar we had to purchase.Now she is more out of control than ever and even won’t let people in the house without trying to nip them.It is awesome that she listened to the trainer but helps us none at home.This week she kept trying to nip at a worker at our house.We now are having to give her up because she is more wild than ever.My children are out their dog and we are out thousands of hard earned dollars.Very sad week for us.We sent our friend there as a referral the first week Nahla was there,we are so grateful that she didn’t board her dog and could see what the place was and she was very turned off by our trainer talking about us and how we are with our dog to her.I pray this doesn’t happen to anyone else.If you want to pay thousands to board your dog than this is the place for you.Please research this place before handing your fur baby and your money over.

My newly adopted Saint Bernard, Marshall Mathers, needed some training and manners. Mountain State K9 came highly recommended by Marshall’s veterinary team. I had heard of this facility in the past and decided to give them a try. Marshall completed 3 weeks of their boarded train program. During these 3 weeks, they would call with updates on his progress and were always polite and kind anytime I called for an update (I’m a bit of a helicopter mom lol). I even needed to keep him there for a bit longer than expected due to some unforeseen personal events. They were so helpful and happy to accommodate; knowing he was safe and well taken care of gave me so much comfort during an otherwise difficult time. I picked him up yesterday; before leaving, our trainer, Dylan, made sure I felt comfortable with continuing Marshall’s training at home. I’m already so amazed with his progress. We’ve even started calling him Mr. Mather’s at home since he’s now in the perfect gentleman. I’m feeling much more confident handling my big man out in the world and I can tell he’s a happier dog because of it. Thank you all so much for all of your help. It seriously means the world to me.

I can go on and on about all the things we love about MSK9 and our trainer, Dylan! Our dog, Sophie, has received boarding, training, and grooming services at MSK9 and all of them have been incredible. We adopted Sophie, a two-year-old Rottie, who had not been socialized and was highly reactive to other animals. We had a training consultation with Dylan and quickly realized he and MSK9 were a perfect fit. We truly could not have imagined a better trainer!! Dylan has gone above and beyond since our very first contact. Sophie recently completed a 4-week board and train program and her growth and learning in such a short amount of time has been amazing! We were allowed to be very involved throughout the training process and Dylan was so knowledgeable and patient every step of the way. We know Sophie is in the best hands with MSK9 staff! She LOVES going to group classes and being boarded there. Thank you, Dylan and MSK9 for all you do and helping our sweet Soph become the best version of herself!! We look forward to continuing to learn from y’all!
