Mountain State K9 Academy

I recommend Mountain State K9 Academy to everyone for their excellent dog training. They trained my dog so well that we even got the canine good citizen certificate. My dog loved training with them and did so well. They explained everything in detail what they do and put up with my constant nagging (haha) asking how he was during board and train. They groomed him every time they gave him back and my dog is still excited to go there for the training classes.

I have been bringing my dog, Ace, to MSK9 since I got him. We started with the puppy class when he was 10 weeks old then did a 3 week board and train. Since then I have been doing lessons with Ace consistently. He has been boarded here when we go on vacations. Ace has been trained by Gator, Dylan, Patrick, Rianna, Jake and Kari. I have nothing but the upmost respect and trust for everybody that works here. Ace is by far the best dog I have ever owned and that’s all thanks to everybody at MSK9. The kennel staff is also amazing and treat Ace as if he was one of theirs. We have an amazing family dog who will also protect us, as we continue to do protection lessons. I can’t recommend MSK9 and their trainers enough.

WARNING….DO NOT USE THIS PLACE!! DILLON finally called me back from December 2024….and u all said that I did not call for my come back visits AND THAT IS A STRAIGHT UP LIE!! STOP LYING PEOPLE!!! my name is Elisabeth and this is my truthful experience with this cruel place… If I could give it less than ZERO, I would! Now, my girl I adopted was nipping people and constantly climbing the fence and nervously panting with loads of slobber…she needed to learn some manners or I was gonna have to surrender her for nipping people, she needed proper training. When I called this place was sent to Dillon and he did teach her how to get up on a climb (which is ok but I dono why because climbs don’t stop bites) WITH A ZAP COLLAR BECAUSE THIS IS WHAT THIS PLACE PREFERS TO USE…. This was a MISTAKE TO SEND HER HERE….i sent her for over 5 weeks (and yes they tell u that have to leave them there overnight for weeks for the training to work…and so what i heard happened to her is that there were days Dillon wasn’t even there (sick) and she usually only got about an hour of training a day…OF COURSE NOBODY can train a dog when u keep them caged daily like a daycare. So essentially, they acted like a daycare you take your pet to, NOT A training facility and I HAVE SPENT $3000 trying to get my baby trained so I don’t lose her ….. WE ARE STILL SICKENED BY THE LACK OF TRAINING AND THE LIES WE WERE SOLD FROM DILLON!!! MAYBE ITS JUST AN EMPLOYEE ISSUE, maybe its an owner issue I don’t know… …My husband has put up a review also and THE RESPONSE TO HIS HONEST EXPERIENCE….YALL JUST READ IT BECAUSE IM NOT SURE WHOEVER IS RESPONDING TO THESE REVIEWS CANNOT BE THE OWNER TIGHT? Surely not that rude person that responded…BUT IF ITS THE OWNERS YOU SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF YOURSELF FOR BEING SO NASTY AND GIVING A COMPLETELY DEGRADING AND DISHONEST REPLY HERE!!!! I can tell you I own a business myself and have NEVER EVER talked to a customer that had a negative experience this way…NEVER! And nobody has even contacted me until yesterday to talk about what happened OR WHAT DIDNT HAPPEN….im lost for words and just extremely heartbroken with this company….. All I can say is it was a MAJOR MISTAKE on our part trying to stay local…. I sent my friend over also because she wanted some training for her dog ( during Nahla’s stay) and she is actually a certified vet tech. She met Dillon and said she shocked at his lack of knowledge with training. As she asked him questions and he had no answers about simple training so she had to answer her own questions herself and let him know that he needs more training as a trainer HIMSELF…she said NO WAY HE DOES NOT KNOW WHAT HE IS DOING!! So she won’t use yall, and I’m glad she saw this HERSELF!! PEOPLE…please learn form our misfortune with these people, I CAN SAY I LIKE GATOR THO HE SEEMS TO BE PRETTY GOOD, as I listened to him talk and my friend had said the same ( she said is MUCH more knowledgeable) …she told me they just probably sent me to Dillon because he was the least knowledgeable and probably and he is a good talker too! BAD BAD BADDD…also people…I have heard there have been quite a few dogs PASS in their care…there r reviews on here and I should have looked at ALL OF THE REVIEWS BECAUSE THERE IS A PATTERN!!! JUST AVOID THIS PLACE LIKE THE PLAGUE, DONT TAKE ANY CHANCES WITH YOUR LOVED ONES….PLEASE…
